A lighting system has a lighting fixture with a housing and a pair of mounting brackets fixed to opposed sides of the housing and mounted to a hanger bar. Each mounting bracket is adapted to mount to a hanger bar without tools and the hanger bars are adapted to mount to the grid of rails without tools. The hanger bar can have first and second hanger bar members which are adapted to relatively move along a longitudinal axis (Y axis) of the hanger bar to extend and retract a length of the hanger bar. The mounting bracket is adapted to toollessly mount to the hanger bar at a predetermined vertical position (Z axis) and lateral position (X axis) relative to the hanger bar.

Lighting system for suspended ceiling

A low-profile recessed light fixture has a housing with a low height and forming a light engine enclosure with an aperture. A light engine assembly within the light engine enclosure as a heat sink assembly and a light emitting element. The heat sink assembly has first and second heat sinks, and the light emitting element is mounted to the first heat. The first heat sink is operable to tilt relative to the second heat sink about a tilt a tilt range. The light engine assembly is operable to translate between an operation position and an offset service position. In the operation position at a zero tilt an optical axis of the light emitting element is substantially parallel to a vertical axis passes through a center of the aperture. The light engine assembly being operable to rotate relative to the housing through a rotation range of at least 360 degrees.

Shallow adjustable recessed light fixture

A recessed lighting fixture for installation in an inclined ceiling has an enclosure and a lighting assembly pivotal relative to the enclosure through a first and second range of relative angles such that an optical axis can be aligned vertically for the first and second ranges. First and second trim element are adapted for use with the first and second ranges of inclinations. The first and second trim elements have optical element aligned at different angles, and a relative angle between the optical elements and the reflector plane is less than or equal to 10 degrees. An angle indicator provides a proper relative angle of the lighting assembly and a trim indicator provides an indication of a proper trim element.

A lighting fixture for a suspended ceiling including a grid of rails and hub forming an opening in the suspended ceiling has a housing with a mounting clip operable to toollessly mount to a vertical portion of a rail from above with a cam to resiliently expand the mounting clip laterally during mounting of the housing onto the rail, a light unit support connected to the housing and operable to toollessly mount to the hub, from above, and a light unit operable to toollessly mount to the light unit support, through the hub, from below the suspended ceiling.

A low-profile, recessed light fixture with a housing, a lighting element enclosure with a heat sink, and a junction box containing a lighting driver. The base of the housing has an illumination aperture disposed therein. The heat sink acts as the top of the lighting element enclosure and is movable between an operation position and a service position. In the operation position, the heat sink is vertically aligned with the illumination aperture. In the service position, the heat sink is horizontally displaced from vertical alignment with the illumination aperture. When the heat sink is in the service position, the interior of the junction box is accessible through the illumination aperture, allowing the user to remove the lighting driver and other electrical components from the junction box for maintenance.

Low profile lighting fixture with movable heat sink and lighting element assembly

A light fixture having a light source, first and second heat sinks with corresponding first and second thermal interfaces having complementary curved surfaces, and a linkage having cams, and springs to create contact pressure between the thermal interfaces when the light fixture is in an operation mode and to permit movement between the thermal interfaces when the light fixture is in an adjustment mode. When the light fixture is in operation mode, the first and second heat sinks work in combination to provide a highly effective heat dissipation system. When the light fixture is in adjustment mode, the separation created permits the light source to move along an adjustment path to change the angular direction of the light emitted and to rotate about a rotational axis, providing a full range of directional lighting orientations.
