A currency dispense and control system (CDCS) for securely dispensing paper currency in multiple modes: (1) an ATM system and (2) a currency control system that allows a merchant or merchant-approved employee to withdraw cash from the CDCS independent of a standard ATM electronic fund transfer (EFT) network. The CDCS may be on-site and implemented using standard ATM hardware or may be located remotely. The CDCS may also include one or more of the following functionalities: a duress dispensation system that allows the CDCS to activate an alarm and/or otherwise communicate with local police or security services during a robbery, a time-release system that effects a time-delayed dispensation functionality, and a user identification and authentication system for authenticating a user identity and determining eligibility of the user to access the currency control system.

Remote currency dispensation systems and methods

A cost-effective, currency dispense and control system (CDCS) securely dispenses paper money in one of the following modes: (1) an ATM system and (2) a currency control system that allows a merchant or merchant-approved employee to withdraw cash from the CDCS independent of a standard ATM electronic fund transfer (EFT) network. Currency dispense and control system with anti-theft features

An electronic lock and money control system is provided that is capable of single unit stand-alone operation, as well as expandability to a network of multiple units having one of the units operate as a centralized network controller. The network includes at least one safe provided with a control system arranged to communicate with a data input device, electronic display, connector interface and electronic lock mechanism located on the safe. The control system includes a processor programmed to control operation of the electronic lock mechanism, as well as operate as a central system controller when connected to at least one other remote safe via the connector interface to monitor and accumulate financial and operational information for each remote unit. Thus, the safe can be used in stand-alone operation, or as a central control and reporting unit for a network of interconnected safes.

Centralized electronic safe and accounting control system

A safe providing both permanent and temporary storage of money. The safe uses bill validators to accurately count cash deposited into a secure area. A control system records the amount of money entered into both the temporary and permanent storage and the amount withdrawn from the temporary storage. The control system includes both a primary and an auxiliary memory for storing an audit trail of these transactions. Further, the control system utilizes an encryption code for communications between a main controller and each of the door controllers.
