A computer implemented method includes gathering metrics from components of a conferencing endpoint in a conference call, and determining status indicator values according to the metrics. The status indicator values each identify a component status of a component. The status indicator values are combined to estimate a user status. The computer implemented method further includes generating a description of a user status of a target user with respect to the conference call, and presenting the description of the user status.

An apparatus includes a network circuit to communicate with a network and a server on the network. The apparatus includes a wireless circuit to communicate with another wireless device. The apparatus includes control logic to determine that the other wireless device is within a given proximity of the apparatus, and to determine that the other wireless device is configured to perform automatic pairing. The control logic is further to, based on a determination that the other wireless device is within the given proximity of the apparatus and is configured to perform automatic pairing, access the server to determine whether to perform automatic pairing with the other wireless device. The control logic is to pair with the other wireless device without further input from a user of the apparatus.

Systems and methods are provided for managing connections between a wireless headset and various user devices, e.g., to answer or place a call at a particular user device (e.g., a device that is not currently connected to the headset) as a headset-supported call in which the call audio is routed from the particular user device to the headset and/or vice versa. Connections between the headset and relevant user devices may be controlled or facilitated by suitable software and hardware components to establish the headset-supported call. For example, such device connections may be controlled or facilitated by a cloud-based network including remote server(s). As another example, the device connections may be cooperatively managed by a cloud-based network and a local mesh network.

Systems and methods for managing connections between a headset and multiple devices

A peripheral electronic device and a corresponding system configured to determine a health safety status is disclosed. The peripheral electronic device comprises at least: a usage detector, configured to recurrently detect usage status information of the peripheral electronic device; a change status determination circuit, connected with the usage detector and configured to determine, using the usage status information, a first status change from an unused device status of the peripheral electronic device to a used device status of the peripheral electronic device; a device memory; and a health safety status processing circuit, wherein the health safety status processing circuit is configured to enable a dirty bit in the device memory in case the first status change is determined.
