A computing architecture including a backend executing over a host server, a frontend application instantiated by cooperation of a processor and a memory of a client device, and a rich content editing canvas service communicably coupled to at least one of the backend and the frontend. Operation of the rich content editing canvas service causes to be rendered in a graphical user interface of the frontend application a rich content editing canvas that can receive user input. The rich content editing canvas service can be leveraged to receive command and control instructions, from a user of the frontend application, that can cause one more operations to be executed by a separate platform backend.

The disclosure is directed to systems and techniques for executing a documentation application displaying a graphical user interface having an editable field configured to receive textual input. The system receives a first portion of a textual input in the editable field, which includes a command character designating the first portion of the textual input as a link insertion command. The system receives a second portion of textual input in the editable field and, before entry of the textual input is complete, the system analyzes the second portion of the textual input to identify an external platform service. The system then accesses, using an application programming interface, first hosted data hosted by the external platform service. The first hosted data may be displayed in line with the textual input and used to generate a complete link path. Once complete, the link path is replaced with a selectable graphical object that is operable, when selected, to redirect the user to the external platform service.

A computing architecture for providing a software component or feature of a first platform as a service to a second platform. An API request from a frontend of the second platform, including a user auth token providing access to the second platform, can be received by an authentication token proxy service that converts the user auth token into a user auth token of the first platform. With this token, subsequent API requests of a backend of the first platform from the frontend of the second platform can be served directly by the second platform.

Systems and methods for providing software components as a service

A platform-agnostic input system can render a multiuser input board user interface element at one or more frontends to collect input from multiple users simultaneously. The platform-agnostic input system can maintain an object graph based on positions of objects added to the multiuser input board. The platform-agnostic input system can select branches of the object graph and determine which among a set of platforms in a multiplatform computing system to associate with the data associated with each node of that branch of the object graph.
