The present disclosure provides an active material comprising a mixed metal oxide in a hydrotalcite derived rocksalt structure, a processes to convert paraffins to corresponding olefins and or heavier hydrocarbons using the active material, and a method of preparing the active material.

Catalyst for oxidative olefin generation from paraffins

The present disclosure provides processes to convert paraffins to corresponding olefins and or heavier hydrocarbons. In at least one embodiment, a process includes introducing, at a temperature of from about 50&#xb0; C. to about 500&#xb0; C., a hydrocarbon feed comprising paraffins to a first metal oxide comprising one or more group 1 to group 17 metal and one or more oxygen. The process includes obtaining a product mixture comprising one or more C3-C50 cyclic olefins, one or more C2-C50 acyclic olefins, one or more C5-C200 hydrocarbons, such as one or more C5-C100 hydrocarbons, or a mixture thereof. In at least one embodiment, the product mixture is substantially free of H2 (e.g., &#x3c;500 ppm). The introducing can reduce the first metal oxide to form a second metal oxide. Processes may include introducing the second metal oxide to an oxidizing agent to form the first metal oxide.

Conversion of paraffins to olefins and heavier hydrocarbons mediated by metal oxides

A process for converting light paraffins and/or light hydrocarbons to a high octane gasoline composition is disclosed. The process involves: (1) oxidation of iso-paraffins to alkyl hydroperoxides and alcohol; (2) conversion of the alkyl hydroperoxides and alcohol to dialkyl peroxides; and (3) radical coupling of one or more iso-paraffins and/or iso-hydrocarbons using the dialkyl peroxides as radical initiators, thereby forming a gasoline composition comprising gasoline-range molecules including a C7 enriched gasoline composition having a road octane number (RON) greater than 100.

Production of high-value fuel mixtures from synthetic and biologically derived hydrocarbon molecules

In an embodiment, a process for converting a hydrocarbon feed includes introducing a hydrocarbon feed comprising a C-Cacyclic alkane and a C-Ccyclic alkane to a catalyst composition in a reactor. The process further includes converting the hydrocarbon feed in the reactor under reactor conditions to a product mixture comprising at least one of a C-Caromatic product or a Cdistillate product.
