An inventory system can include radio frequency identification (RFID) tags and RFID tuners that can be brought into interacting proximity with one another to provide input or other information about the location or other condition of movable elements within the inventory system. For example, interactions of RFID tags and RFID tuners at different locations within an inventory system may be utilized to associate a container or other movable object with particular receiving surfaces at particular points in time to facilitate identification of the whereabouts of the container or other movable object.

In some examples, a reader system is provided for managing inventory items in an inventory system. The reader system may be configured to read tags associated with items stowed in an inventory holder. The inventory holder may be detachably coupled to a mobile drive unit. The mobile drive unit may move the inventory holder to a first position near an antenna of the reader system and the tags may begin to be read. While reading or at other times in the reading process, the mobile drive unit may move the inventory holder relative to the antenna. The identified tags may be compared to a manifest list of items expected to be stowed in the inventory holder.

In some examples, a mobile reading device is provided. The mobile reading device may include an movement device and a reader device. The reader device may be configured to read, via one or more antennas, identifying tags associated with items. The one or more antennas may be included as part of the mobile reading device, within a holder structure, or in some other structure or device.

An inventory system can include radio frequency identification (RFID) tags and RFID tuners that can be brought into interacting proximity with one another to provide input or other information about the location or other condition of movable elements within the inventory system. For example, a closed or at least partially open state of a drawer can be determined based on signals from an RFID tag when the RFID tag and a corresponding RFID tuner are mounted on opposing faces of the drawer and a compartment that receives the drawer.

In some examples, an autonomous mobile reading device is provided. The autonomous mobile reading device may include an autonomous movement device and a radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader. The RFID reader may be configured to read, via one or more antennas, RFID tags associated with inventory items. The one or more antennas may be included as part of the autonomous mobile reading device, within an inventory holder, or in some other structure or device.

A set of images may be obtained by a computing system of a user device. A display may be provided on the user device including a first image of the set of images. An indication may be received that indicates a tilt action of the user device. Based at least in part on the tilt action being within a particular tilt threshold, a partial view of the first image and a partial view of the second image may be provided to the user.

Techniques are described for facilitating transactions involving items and users in various ways. In some situations, item transactions are coordinated by an automated Item Transaction (or 'IT') system provided via one or more computing systems, such that users of the IT system who have available items are matched with other users of the IT system who desire those items. The types of items being involved in transactions via the IT system may vary, and in some situations may include items such as music CDs, video DVDs, computer games, computer software, etc. The operation of the IT system may be enhanced in various ways, including by selecting appropriate users to receive opportunities to sell items available from those users, such as in a manner to balance supply and demand for items, and by notifying the selected users of those opportunities.

Techniques are described for facilitating transactions involving items and users in various ways. In some situations, item transactions are coordinated by an automated Item Transaction (or 'IT') system provided via one or more computing systems, such that users of the IT system who have available items are matched with other users of the IT system who desire those items. The types of items being involved in transactions via the IT system may vary, and in some situations may include items such as music CDs, video DVDs, computer games, computer software, etc. The operation of the IT system may be enhanced in various ways via interactions with one or more external item marketplaces, such as by automatically obtaining and using information related to users of the IT system from those marketplaces, and/or by acquiring additional items from those marketplaces for use by the IT system.

Facilitating transactions involving buying items from and selling items to users

A system and method of managing media content is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes sending a request for a media content item from a user computer to a server via an interface to an online site. The method also includes receiving the media content item at the user computer. Further, the method includes selecting a library associated with a media content player application and, upon receipt of the media content item, automatically adding the media content item to the selected library of the media content player application at the user computer.
