An example computing device includes a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium encoded with instructions and a processor to execute the instructions. The instructions are executable to detect a hardware configuration of the computing device by identifying hardware components within the computing device and determine an expected acoustic noise emission of the computing device based on the hardware configuration. The instructions are also executable to select a default operating mode of the computing device based on the hardware configuration and set the computing device to the default operating mode.

In example implementations, an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a riser card body, a first interface, a first 2×8 slot on a surface of the riser card body, and a second 2×8 slot on a same side of the surface of the riser card body as the first 2×8 slot. The first interface includes a first set of fingers and a second set of fingers at an end of the riser card body to connect to a peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) slot of a motherboard. The first 2×8 slot and the second 2×8 slot are positioned perpendicular to the PCIe slot of the motherboard.

Example implementations relate to power supply controllers. In some examples, a controller can include instructions to: set a power threshold for a power supply coupled to a computing component when the computing component is operating in a first state, determine when the computing component is alternating from the first state to a second state, and allow the power supply to exceed the power threshold for a fixed period of time in response to the computing component alternating from the first state to the second state.

The present disclosure is drawn to a stylus nib, which includes a polymeric core structure having a plurality of channels formed within the polymeric core structure along a longitudinal axis thereof. The polymeric core structure can be internally lubricated or impregnated with a lubricating material. The tip portion of the nib can be shaped to interface with a drawing surface.

In example implementations, a lanyard attachment is provided. The lanyard attachment includes a first body portion, a second body portion and a lanyard. The first body portion includes a first locking head and a first opening. The second body portion includes a second locking head and a second opening. The first body portion and the second body portion are positioned within an opening of an input device such that the first opening and the second opening are aligned exterior to the opening of the input device. The lanyard is coupled to the first body portion and the second body portion through the first opening and the second opening that are aligned.

Calibration of displays are disclosed herein. An example method includes obtaining an image of a display including a position-determining pattern and pixels, the image including pixel location data and position-determining pattern location data; comparing the pixel location data and the position-determining pattern location data; and based on the comparison, determining calibration data that accounts for misalignment between the position-determining pattern and the pixels.

A computing system for housing a number of storage devices includes a number of device cages, and a backplane coupled to each of the device cages to electrically couple a number of the storage devices to the computing system. The backplane includes a number of device combination signal and power interfaces located on a first side of the backplane to couple a number of the storage devices to the backplane. The backplane further includes a number of combination signal and power interfaces located on a second side of the backplane to couple the backplane to the computing system. The backplane further includes a number of signal connectors to couple the backplane to the computing system.

A display may include a viewing area and a border about the viewing area. The border is visibly opaque and near infrared transparent. An encoded pattern underlies the border.

Examples disclosed herein involve calibrating an input device to a display using the input device. An example method includes determining first coordinates of a position-encoded film corresponding to a location of an input device relative to the position-encoded film of a display of a computing device based on first position points of the position-encoded film, determining second coordinates of a pixel array corresponding to the location of the input device relative to the pixel array of the display based on a first reference pixel of the display, measuring a first offset between the first coordinates of the position-encoded film and the second coordinates of the pixel array, and calculating a calibration transformation to control the computing device based on the first offset.

Examples disclosed herein provide a computing device. One example computing device includes an enclosure and a support member rotatably connected to the enclosure at a first end of the support member, via a shaft disposed within the enclosure along a perimeter of the enclosure. The computing device includes a panel connected at a second end of the support member opposite the first end. As an example, the panel is to enclose the enclosure when the support member is to rotate towards the enclosure. When the support member is to rotate via the shaft, the support member is to wrap around the perimeter of the enclosure.

In one example, an inkwell charger can include a tapered portion of a cavity comprising an electrical contact to receive a corresponding tapered portion of a stylus and a magnetic portion of the cavity positioned below the tapered portion of the cavity to align the tapered portion of the stylus with the tapered portion of the cavity.

In one implementation, an apparatus for card edge connector couplings includes a card edge connector coupled to a card edge, and a number of conductors coupling the card edge to a device connector.

Examples of adapters for transmitting signals are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, an adapter may include a first connector communicatively couplable to PCIe port of a computing system via a first plurality of pins and a second connecter communicatively couplable to an electronic device via a second plurality of pins. The first plurality of pins is communicatively coupled to the second plurality of pins. Additionally, signals of a first type are transmittable between the computing system and the electronic device via a first subset of the first and the second pluralities of pins and signals of a second type are transmittable between the computing system and the electronic device via a second subset of the first and the second pluralities of pins. The second subset of the first plurality of pins and the second plurality of pins conforms to the SFF 8639 standard.
