A data path for streaming data includes a plurality of sequential data registers, each of the plurality of sequential data registers comprising a plurality of data fields, wherein the streaming data moves sequentially through the sequential data registers; and a multiplexing unit, the multiplexing unit configured such that the multiplexing unit has access to each of the plurality of data fields of the plurality of sequential data registers, and wherein the multiplexing unit is configured to extract data from the streaming data as the streaming data moves through the sequential data registers in response to a data request.

A system and method for recognizing and labeling anatomical structures in an image includes creating a list of objects such that one or more objects on the list appear before a target object and setting the image as a context for a first object on the list. The first object is detected and labeled by subtracting a background of the image. A local context is set for a next object on the list using the first object. The next object is detected and labeled by registration using the local context. Setting a local context and detecting and labeling the next object are repeated until the target object is detected and labeled. Labeling of the target object is refined using region growing.

A method and a device for distributing patterns to scanning engines for scanning packets in a packet stream are provided. The method includes providing a plurality of scanning engines and patterns, calculating a respective distance metric for every pair of patterns, and providing a plurality of distribution functions. Further, the method includes calculating a respective sum of the calculated distance metrics for distributing the patterns for each of the distribution functions, and utilizing the sums for selecting a distribution function of the D distribution functions for distributing the patterns to the M scanning engines. A method for optimizing images, the method comprising, receiving a designation of a first feature of interest, receiving a designation of a second feature of interest, receiving a target image, receiving an atlas image including labels of first and second features of interest of the target image and a first optimization parameter associated with the first feature of interest and a second optimization parameter associated with the second feature of interest, mapping the atlas image onto the target image resulting in a global mapped image, defining an area of the first feature of interest and an area of the second feature of interest, mapping the reference image onto the area of the first feature of interest on the global mapped image using the first optimization parameter, and mapping the reference image onto the area of the second feature of interest on the global mapped image using the second optimization parameter.

Methods involving optimizing and mapping images

A computer system controls ordered memory operations according to a programmatically-configured ordering class protocol to enable parallel memory access while maintaining ordered read responses. The system includes a memory and/or cache memory including a memory/cache controller, an I/O device for communicating memory access requests from system data sources and a memory controller I/O Interface. Memory access requests from the system data sources provide a respective ordering class value. The memory controller I/O Interface processes each memory access request and ordering class value communicated from a data source through the I/O device in coordination with the ordering class protocol. Preferably, the I/O device includes at least one register for storing ordering class values associated with system data sources that implement memory access requests.
