An electronic toy including a sensor for detecting movement, a reader for detecting markers in a proximity of the electronic toy, a user-interface for providing a user-perceptible output, and a processing unit. The processing unit is configured to control the user-interface responsive to a detected movement and a detected marker, enter an active play state responsive to a first trigger event representative of a start of a play activity, process information about movements detected by the sensor while the processing unit is in the active play state and information about markers detected by the reader while the processing unit is in the active play state to compute a result score associated with the play activity, control the user-interface to provide a user-perceptible output based on the computed result score, and exit the active play state responsive to a second trigger event representative of an end of a play activity.

Interactive toy

An interactive toy including a reader for detecting a marker in a proximity of the interactive toy. The interactive toy also has a sensor for detecting movement of the interactive toy and a memory having programmed instructions and configuration data thereon. The programmed instructions are configured to control a response of the interactive toy to a detection of the marker, the response being defined at least in part by the configuration data. The interactive toy also has a processing unit configured to execute the programmed instructions according to the configuration data when the processing unit is in a play state. The processing unit is further configured to modify the configuration data in response to a combination of a detection of the marker in a proximity of the interactive toy, and a detection of a movement of the interactive toy when the processing unit is in a configuration state.

User configurable interactive toy

A method for analyzing a virtual object in a virtual environment includes obtaining an image of a first real-world object and transmitting, to a data processing system, the image of the first real-world object. The method includes creating a digital representation of the first real-world object and assigning local attributes to one or more portions of the digital representation corresponding to elements of the first real-world object. The method includes obtaining an image of an updated configuration of the first real-world object and transmitting, to the data processing system, the image of the updated configuration. The method includes creating, by the data processing system, a digital representation, of the updated configuration. The method includes comparing, by the data processing system, the digital representation of the first real-world object and the digital representation of the updated first real-world object to identify rearranged parts and assign local attributes.

Method for creating a virtual object

A computer-implemented method for creating a virtual object; the method comprising: obtaining a digital representation of a real-world object, the digital representation representing a visual appearance of a shape of the real-world object; obtaining an input indicative of one or more properties of an entity different from the real-world object; creating a virtual object representing the real-world object; and assigning, based on at least the obtained input, an attribute to the created virtual object.

A computer-implemented method for creating a virtual object; the method comprising: receiving a digital representation of a visual appearance of a real-world object; creating a virtual object with a visual appearance based on the received digital representation; selecting a part of the virtual object; and assigning one or more attributes to the selected part of the virtual object.

A system for acquiring a 3D digital representation of a physical object, the system comprising: A scanning station comprising an object support for receiving a physical object; an image capturing device operable to capture two or more images of a physical object when the physical object is placed on the object support, wherein the two or more images are taken from different view points relative to the physical object; and a processor configured to process the captured two or more images and to create a 3D digital model of the physical object.
