A bracket, which can be in the form of first and second bracket members, desirably projects outwardly from the trailer frame and includes a bracket passageway. A housing includes a housing passageway extending at least partially through the housing and that communicates with the exterior of the housing through a locking insert receiving opening. The locking insert receiving opening, the housing passageway and the bracket passageways define a locking insert receiving passageway. A locking insert couples the housing to the bracket and thereby to the trailer frame. The locking insert includes an accessory arm receiving passageway communicating with the housing exterior through the locking insert receiving opening.

A bicycle seat recline adjusts the incline of a bicycle trailer seat back. The seat recline can comprise opposed gear racks engaged by gears at opposite ends of a cross member. The cross member is coupled to an upper portion of the seat back. Moving the cross member moves the gears in the gear racks and adjusts the angle of the seat back. The cross member is desirably selectively and simultaneously lockable to and releasable from any one of a plurality of positions along the gear rack. A lower portion of the seat back can pivot about a lower pivot axis. The gear racks can be arced to maintain a constant distance to the lower pivot axis as the cross member is moved and maintains a constant tension on the seat back. A plurality of seats with adjustable seat back reclines can be included in the bicycle trailer.

Bicycle trailer seat recline

A bicycle trailer can easily be mounted to and dismounted from a bicycle seat post without requiring the use of tools. Pivotally interconnected first, second and at least one intermediate, segments are positioned around the seat post when the hitch is mounted thereto. A latch detachedly couples free end portions of the first and second segments together. A pivot for coupling to the towing arm of a bicycle trailer is coupled to one of the segments. Desirably the latch is capable of adjusting the distance between the free end portions to accommodate seat posts of different diameters. Cushions can project inwardly from the segments and into engagement with a seat post to which the hitch is mounted.
