The present disclosure includes a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system having a zone control panel suitable to control operation of equipment and/or devices in the HVAC system. The zone control panel may include an electronic display to facilitate user interaction with the HVAC system. For example, the electronic display may be used to view, configure, and/or modify operation of the zone control panel and/or other devices implemented in the HVAC system. Further, the zone control panel may use the electronic display to reproduce user interfaces from the equipment and/or the devices. As such, the zone control panel may centralize presentation of relevant information and/or present the relevant information in a familiar manner.

The present disclosure relates to a control system for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system. The control system includes a user interface configured to receive a first input indicative of a first expected operating range of a first parameter in a first zone and to receive a second input indicative of a second expected operating range of a second parameter in a second zone. A first set point for the first parameter is within the first expected operating range and a second set point for the second parameter is within the second expected operating range. The control system includes a controller configured to manage operation of the HVAC system and to provide a first alert in response to the first parameter being outside of the first expected operating range and a second alert in response to the second parameter being outside of the second expected operating range.

In some embodiments, the HVAC system includes an electronic display configured to concurrently display a plurality of zone icons that indicate a current setpoint mode corresponding to a plurality of building zones, wherein the current setpoint mode comprises a home setpoint mode and an away setpoint mode. Additionally, the HVAC system may include a control circuitry communicatively coupled to the electronic display. The control circuitry may be configured to toggle the current setpoint mode associated with the plurality of building zones between the home setpoint mode and the away setpoint mode based on a received user input. Further, the control circuitry may be configured to control operation of the HVAC system based on the current setpoint mode associated with each building zone of the plurality of building zones.

The present disclosure relates to a zoning system for climate control including a controller configured to operate the zoning system to supply conditioned air to a first zone of a plurality of zones through a first supply air damper to thermally charge the first zone. The controller is also configured to close the first supply air damper of the first zone and open a second supply air damper of a second zone of the plurality of zones after the first zone is thermally charged. The controller is further configured to operate the zoning system to draw the conditioned air from the first zone and supply the conditioned air to the second zone through the second supply air damper.

The zone modes include zone activity modes each associated with an occupant activity within the zone and one or more environmental settings. A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system may include a HVAC unit that may control air flow, a first control system that may directly control operation of equipment in the HVAC unit, and a second control system communicatively coupled to the first control system. The second control system may be located in a different zone of a building as compared to the first control system, such that the second control system may receive a request to adjust the air flow output by the HVAC unit and send a command to the first control system based on the request. The command may cause the first control system to adjust the operation of the equipment in the HVAC unit to cause the air flow output by the HVAC unit to be adjusted according to the request.

The present disclosure includes a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system having a control system suitable to control operation of a device in the HVAC system. The control system may include a zone control panel that may control operation of the device using power-line communication. Accordingly, the zone control panel and the device may be both communicatively and electrically coupled via one or more power lines. To that end, the zone control panel may determine a primary address identifying the device and/or a secondary address indicating the one or more power lines electrically coupled to the device. Further, the zone control panel may communicate with and/or coordinate operation of the device by transmitting data messages to the device via the one or more power lines based on the primary address and/or the secondary address.

The processing circuit is configure to determine that a HVAC device is connected to the HVAC network and retrieve a software update from the HVAC device via the communications interface and install the software update in response to a determination that the thermostat must install the software update in order to be configured to communicate with the HVAC device.
