A method for processing pulp in an apparatus for washing and dewatering pulp, and a system for controlling this apparatus, the apparatus comprising two rotatable press rolls () having a permeable outer surface (), and a vat (), the press rolls () defining a press nip () between them. The processing is determined by a set of variable operating parameters, which are adjusted and/or maintained during operation in response to deviations of measured values of control parameters in relation to their respective predetermined threshold values. The variable operating parameters include rotation speed of the press rolls. The control parameters include vat pressure and/or linear load.

Apparatus for washing and dewatering pulp, a system for controlling such an apparatus, and a method for processing pulp in such an apparatus

Apparatus for washing and/or dewatering cellulose pulp is disclosed including a movable permeable surface in a pulp transportation chamber having a chamber gap above the movable permeable surface, a pulp distributor for distributing pulp onto the movable permeable surface, a throttle having a throttle gap width and an adjustable throttle adjuster to remotely adjust the throttle gap width so that a volume of pulp flow into the pulp distributor is equal to or greater than the volume of pulp flow out of the distributor during operation.

Apparatus for washing and/or dewatering of cellulose pulp

Washing apparatus as well as methods for washing and dewatering a cellulose pulp are disclosed comprising a rotary drum with outer compartments for pulp washing, and a stationary casing surrounding the drum to define an annular space between the casing and the drum which is divided into zones by longitudinal seals. The function of the seals is optimized by a force measurement device for measuring forces acting on the longitudinal seal for measuring a biasing force of a spring package in the measurement device and for measurement of a force acting on a load transmission shaft of the device as well as an extractor for extracting a force acting against the seal in a direction away from the drum.

Apparatus and method for treatment of pulp

A washer for washing and dewatering cellulose pulp is disclosed including a rotatable drum with a plurality of axial compartment walls defining a plurality of outer compartments, a stationary cylindrical casing enclosing the drum, and at least one axially disposed seal dividing the annular space between the stationary casing and the drum into a number of zones for treating the pulp. The function of the seals is optimized by units for seal adjustment which include a load cell for registering a pulse signal indicating the force acting on the seals, an extractor for deriving a pulse height parameter from the registered pulse signal and a motor for moving the seal radially with respect to the drum based on the pulse height parameter.

Method and arrangement for the treatment of cellulose pulp
