A method for populating a controller for a motor vehicle with data includes providing a controller with a storage device, and generating a projected mathematical model of at least one section of a powertrain, including a transmission. The projected mathematical model describes the section of the powertrain with a gear ratio of 1 and is applicable to different transmissions. The projected mathematical model is stored in the storage device of the controller. A motor vehicle is also provided and operated accordingly.

Method for populating a controller with data, and method for operating a motor vehicle

A universal modeling method is provided for a motor vehicle, the universal modeling method including: providing an input signal set, the input signal set comprising those signals of respective sensors of the motor vehicle which can be relevant for the control of devices of the motor vehicle; selecting a set of modeling signals from the input signal set as a function of a system architecture of the motor vehicle; and determining an output signal set by way of a time-discrete selective state space model modeling function taking into account the set of modeling signals. In this case, the output signal set functions as a signal set for controlling corresponding actuators of the devices of the motor vehicle.

Time-discrete modeling method for a motor vehicle

A system and a method for reducing a rotational imbalance of a drive train of a hybrid vehicle are provided. The drive train includes an internal-combustion engine, an electric machine, and a crankshaft. A reduction or nullification of the rotational imbalance takes place by actuating the electric machine. The actuation is implemented as an adaptive feed forward control, which provides an actuation signal for the electric machine. The actuation signal represents a desired torque to be generated by the electric machine, so that the electric machine outputs a torque that is at least approximately inverse with respect to the rotational imbalance to the crankshaft for the superimposition of the torque generated by the internal-combustion engine.

Device and method for reducing rotational imbalances of a drive train for a hybrid vehicle

A method for adjusting a preset desired state of charge of an electric energy accumulator of a vehicle, in particular a hybrid vehicle, while traveling uphill and downhill, determines whether the condition for a vehicle traveling uphill or downhill is met according to a preset decision logic. It also determines whether an actual state of charge of the energy accumulator lies within a preset range of the state of charge, and adjusts the desired state of charge according to a preset adjustment logic, if the condition for a vehicle traveling uphill or downhill is met, and the actual state of charge of the energy accumulator lies within the preset range of the state of charge.

Mountain compensation for hybrid vehicles

A method and controller are provided for controlling a power train of a vehicle having a number of modes of operation. A first controller is provided for controlling of a first function of the vehicle. At least one second controller is provided for controlling of a second function of the vehicle. The first controller and the at least one second controller are combined in a joint controller having a state observer and a number of controlling entities. The joint controller is operated by a set of formal controlling parameters assigned to the controlling entities. Actual parameters of the set of formal controlling parameters are switched according to a current mode of the number of modes of operation.
