A blower wheel is provided with a base member having an axis of rotation and with a rotor of a generator, wherein the rotor is fixedly secured on the blower wheel. At least one magnet is arranged on the rotor. An inertia ring is fixedly secured on the base member at a spacing to the at least one magnet. The inertia ring is made of a first material having a first density and the base member is made of a second material having a second density. The first density is greater than the second density. An internal combustion engine is provided with such a blower wheel.

A power saw system has a power saw with housing; guide bar; and saw chain driven about the guide bar by an electric drive motor. A battery is arranged outside of the housing. A power cable is connected with its first end through an electrical connection to the battery and with the second end to the drive motor to supply the drive motor with power. An elastic securing element is connected by a fastening element to the housing. A connecting device connects by a mechanical connection the securing element to an operator of the power saw. The connecting device has an overload protection separating the mechanical connection between securing element and operator when a maximum pulling force is surpassed. Securing element and power cable form a cable assembly. A pull-out force for separating the electrical connection is smaller than the maximum pulling force.

A tank filling device for a liquid container has a base body with mounting end to secure the base body on a liquid container. An actuating section is disposed in the base body interior and slidable lengthwise relative to the base body. A liquid valve is connected to an outlet opening for liquid and controls the outlet opening by being coupled to the actuating section such that the liquid valve is manually opened or closed by moving the actuating section. An air channel with air inlet and air outlet supplies air into the liquid container for pressure compensation. The air channel extends from the liquid valve toward the mounting end and has an air valve at the air outlet. The air outlet is provided between the actuating section and the base body and is a slot control valve formed by actuating section and base body.

A handheld work apparatus has a fan wheel and a combustion engine having a cylinder and a crankcase. The fan wheel, arranged in a housing, is driven by the engine in a rotational direction. The housing includes a rear wall and a peripheral delimiter having a first and a second end delimiting an outlet for cooling air for the cylinder. The outlet extends from the second to the first end in the rotational direction. A throughflow-opening is provided in the housing, through which the cooling air flows out to the outside of the crankcase. The angular distance, measured proceeding from the first end in the rotational direction, between the first end and the throughflow-opening is smaller than the angular distance, measured proceeding from the throughflow-opening in the rotational direction, between the throughflow-opening and the second end. The angular distances are each measured about the rotational axis as a peripheral angle.

The piston has at least one piston pocket. At least one piston pin eye is connected via at least one connecting rib to the piston skirt. Here, the connecting rib runs on that side of the piston pocket which faces away from the piston base.

A piston for a two-stroke engine operating with advanced scavenging has a piston base and a piston skirt. The piston has a piston pocket which has a smallest distance (e) from a top side of the piston base. The piston has a section plane perpendicularly to the longitudinal center axis of the piston, the distance of which section plane from the top side of the piston base is greater than the smallest distance (e). A middle plane of the piston intersects the piston skirt at a location. In the circumferential direction between the pocket and this location, a thickened area is arranged in the section plane, the greatest wall thickness of which area is at least 1.1 times the wall thickness at the location. The piston has an edge at a recess at which the piston skirt has a reduced height. A chamfer is arranged on the radially outer side of the piston.

A handheld work apparatus has a guide bar having a periphery along which a chain runs. The work apparatus has a housing and a fastening arrangement for fixing the guide bar to the housing. The fastening arrangement has an actuating device which can be actuated in a fastening direction in order to fix the guide bar. The work apparatus has a tensioning device to tension the chain. The tensioning device includes a tensioning spring. When the fastening arrangement is loosened, the tensioning spring exerts a force in a tensioning direction of the chain on the guide bar. Simple operation and a simple construction are achieved if the tensioning spring is in operative connection with the actuating device and is tensioned during actuation of the actuating device in the fastening direction.

The invention relates to a tank filling system having a protective cap and having a pouring spout. The protective cap has an end position wherein it partially covers the pouring spout, and wherein the protective cap has an opened position wherein it is removable from the pouring spout into a removed position. The pouring spout includes at least one valve, wherein the valve has a venting position and a closed valve position. In the venting position, the valve frees at least one passage for a fluid. In the closed valve position, the valve closes the passage. In the end position of the protective cap, the valve is in the closed valve position. During the adjustment of the protective cap from the end position into the opened position, the valve is forcibly adjusted at least temporarily into the venting position.

Tank filling system

A guide bar for a chain saw has an elongate main body of steel. The main body has flat sides and upper and lower peripheries defining a guide groove for a saw chain. An elongate window is formed in the main body between the peripheries and is filled with an insert made of a fiber composite material made up of resin and fibers. The fibers are in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the main body. The insert includes a plurality of fiber layers that are bonded with resin. A central layer is formed from a fiber layer and the fibers thereof are at an angle to the longitudinal axis. Two fiber layers having fibers oriented in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the main body are on both sides of the central layer. The inner fiber layers are covered outwardly by a woven fabric.

A work apparatus has an internal combustion engine for driving a work tool of the work apparatus and a fuel pump which is driven by the engine and delivers fuel from a fuel tank to the engine. The work apparatus has a feed pump which is to be actuated manually by the operator. The fuel pump and the feed pump form one assembly which is arranged outside the fuel tank. The fuel tank has a tank wall which delimits the tank interior. An advantageous arrangement and satisfactory cooling of the assembly are achieved if the assembly is arranged at least partially on the tank wall.

A hand-operated implement has a guide bar on which is fitted a cutting chain for cutting mineral and metal materials. The cutting chain is driven around the guide bar by a chain sprocket. The chain sprocket is arranged in a chain sprocket chamber which is delimited by a chain sprocket cover. A cutting element has an outer side facing a sidewall of the chain sprocket cover which lies in a first notional plane. The distance between the sidewall and the first notional plane measured perpendicular to the first notional plane and centrally between the top of the cutting element and the peripheral wall is less than approximately 0.8 cm over at least 30% of the section between a second notional plane containing the central axis of a fixing bolt on the guide bar and the exit opening at which the cutting chain leaves the chain sprocket chamber.

A chain guard for a motor-driven chain saw has a narrow casing with a front end and a back end. The casing has two parallel side walls and an upper wall and a lower wall connecting the side walls to each other. The casing is closed at the front end thereof and defines an opening at the back end. A device is provided on the casing for attaching the chain guard to the clothing of the operator, a rope, a carabiner or the like.
