Techniques for enhancing performance in Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) scenarios, including techniques for time-sensitive networking (TSN) and 5G wireless network integration. An example method, performed by a wireless device, comprises receiving system information (SI) from a radio base station (RBS) of a radio access network (RAN), the SI being indicative of support for TSN through the RBS, and establishing at least one TSN stream with an external data network, through the RBS. The example method further includes receiving a first timing signal from the wireless communications network, via the RBS, receiving a second timing signal from the external TSN data network to which the wireless device is connected, comparing the first timing signal to the second timing signal to determine an offset, and transmitting the offset to the wireless communications network.

Industrial automation with 5G and beyond

Systems and methods for providing feedback are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device includes: determining a set of occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions taking into account the number of sub-slots in an uplink slot; determining a set of occasions for Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS) PDSCH releases taking into account the number of sub-slots; the number of sub-slots is used to scale the number of downlink slots within an uplink slot when determining a set of occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions; and the number of sub-slots is used to scale the number of downlink slots within an uplink slot when determining a set of occasions for SPS PDSCH releases. Some embodiments allow for a full support of Type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook for subslot-based HARQ-ACK. Some embodiments are simple to implement into the specification and preserve the existing behavior for the slot-based Type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook determination.

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes receiving a downlink signal comprising an uplink access configuration index, using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among a predetermined plurality of uplink access configurations, and transmitting to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

Systems and methods for adapting a timer(s) for a satellite-based radio access network are disclosed. Embodiments of a method performed by a user equipment or a base station and corresponding embodiments of a user equipment or a base station are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a user equipment or a bases station comprises obtaining an amount of resources elements available and determining a transport block size based on the amount of resources elements available. In some embodiments, repetitions are used. In some embodiments, obtaining the available resource elements amount is based on at least one of: one or more explicit calculations and/or one or more signaled scaling factor(s). In some embodiments, the method further comprises determining (or selecting) a modulation and code rate (MCS) based on the amount of resources elements available.

Transport block size determination for repetition

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed for priority indication. In one embodiment, a wireless device is configured to receive a priority indicator associated with a downlink control information, DCI, message, the DCI message being associated with one of an uplink-configured grant, UL-CG, configuration and a downlink-semipersistent assignment, DL-SPS, configuration; and determine a use of the priority indicator associated with the DCI message. In another embodiment, a network node is configured to determine a use of a priority indicator associated with a downlink control information, DCI, message; and send the priority indicator associated with the DCI message according to the determined use, the DCI message being associated with one of an uplink-configured grant, UL-CG, configuration and a downlink-semipersistent assignment, DL-SPS, configuration.

Methods for use of priority indication associated with CG/SPS transmission

Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for pre-emption priority level for Uplink Control Information (UCI) and/or Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) conflict resolution. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a network node includes indicating to a wireless device (WD) a priority associated with at least one uplink (UL) channel; and receiving at least one UL signal based at least in part on the indicated priority. In another embodiment, a method implemented in a WD includes determining a priority associated with at least one of at least two uplink (UL) channels; and resolving a conflict between the at least two uplink channels based at least in part on the determined priority.

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.

A method and network node for configuring a WD, to perform uplink transmissions using an uplink configured grant, UL-CG, or a dynamic grant is provided. The network node signals by radio resource control, RRC, signaling to the WD, a time domain resource assignment, TDRA, table for the uplink transmissions. The network node signals further signals to the WD, an indication of a particular repetition factor to be used by the WD to determine when to perform the uplink transmissions.

Network node, wireless device and methods therein for performing uplink transmissions

Systems and methods for priority-dependent Uplink Control Information (UCI) resource determination are provided. In some embodiments, a wireless device determines that one or more UCIs are to be multiplexed onto a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH); determines priorities of the PUSCH and/or each of the one or more UCIs; determines at least one beta offset value for one or more UCIs based on one or more of the priorities; set or adjust a UCI code rate based on the at least one beta offset value; and transmit a UCI according to the UCI code rate. This provides a simple and consistent method to deduce beta offset value for UCI based on priorities of UCI and PUSCH. The solution supports possible multiple different beta offset values determined without extra explicit signaling, i.e., it helps to reduce DCI bits needed to indicate potentially multiple beta offset values.

Priority-dependent uci resource determination

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, a wireless device is provided. The wireless device includes processing circuitry configured to determine a first priority of UCI based at least in part on a UCI type where the UCI is preempted by a preempting scheduled uplink shared channel data transmission, and determine whether to include the UCI in the preempting scheduled data transmission based at least in part on the first priority.

Uplink control information pre-emption

A method, system, network node and wireless device are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, a wireless device is provided. The wireless device includes processing circuitry configured to: receive a pre-emption indication indicating a pre-emption time period for pre-empting an uplink transmission during the pre-emption time period; cancel at least a first portion of a first uplink transmission that is arranged to occur during the pre-emption time period; and if the first uplink transmission includes a second portion arranged to occur before the pre-emption time period, cancel the second portion of the first uplink transmission based on a temporal criterion being met.

In one aspect, there is a method performed by a wireless device, WD. The method includes the WD receiving a control message, the control message comprising an indication of an index value. The method further includes the WD obtaining, using the index value, a set of parameters from time domain resource allocation, TDRA, configuration information, the set of parameters comprising an aggregation factor.

Signalling for repetition

A method, network node and a wireless device for multiplexing HARQ feedback are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes transmitting a first hybrid automatic repeat request, HARQ, feedback responsive to a first downlink, DL, transmission, the first HARQ feedback transmitted using not more than an indicated number of bits, the first DL transmission having a first priority. The method also includes transmitting a second HARQ feedback responsive to a second DL transmission, the second DL transmission having a second priority higher than the first priority. The method further includes multiplexing the first HARQ feedback and the second HARQ feedback using not more than the indicated number of bits for the first HARQ feedback, to produce a multiplexed HARQ feedback.

A method in a user equipment, UE, for reporting channel state information, CSI, to a network includes determining a number of subbands of a bandwidth part, BWP, to report CSI. The method further includes determining a CSI computation time including a CSI computation delay requirement. The method further includes performing CSI estimation for a plurality of the number of subbands based on the CSI computation time. The method further includes reporting the CSI report for at least one of the number of subbands. Analogous UEs, computer programs and computer program products are also provided.

On subband configuration for reduced CSI computation time

A method performed by a first network node is provided. The method includes determining a power backoff indicator (PBI) for a first user equipment (UE) based on at least one of channel conditions of the first UE and channel conditions of a second UE, data reliability requirements of the second UE, and data performance of the first UE. The method includes transmitting the PBI toward the first UE. The method includes receiving second data from the first UE, wherein transmission of the second data has been adjusted based on the PBI. The UE receives the PBI. Responsive to determining to apply the PBI, the UE backs off the power by adjusting the power according to at least one of a configuration and the PBI. The UE transmits second data to the first network node with the backed off or adjusted power.
