The method further includes, while extracting the corrosive materials, monitoring a corrosion state of the corrosive material filter; making a determination that the corrosive material filter should be replaced based on the corrosion state; and scheduling replacement of the corrosive material filter based on the determination.

System and method for service life management based on corrosive material removal

In one embodiment, a method for reducing corrosion in an information handling system includes receiving a system setting indicating one or more operation modes; identifying an ambient temperature of the information handling system, the ambient temperature captured by one or more sensors of the information handling system; identifying a humidity level of the information handling system, the humidity level captured by the one or more sensors; identifying a corrosion risk value based on the ambient temperature and the humidity level; determining that the corrosion risk value is greater than a threshold corrosion risk value; and in response to determining that the corrosion risk value is greater than the threshold corrosion risk value: modifying one or more device threshold settings based on the system setting and the corrosion risk value, wherein modifying the one or more device threshold settings causes the ambient temperature to increase and the humidity level to decrease.

Reducing corrosion in an information handling system

In one embodiment, a method for decreasing a humidity level in an information handling system includes: receiving, by a sound field chamber, an incoming airflow, the incoming airflow having a humidity level corresponding to an amount of water vapor in the incoming airflow; identifying, by a humidity controller, the humidity level of the incoming airflow; determining, by the humidity controller, that the humidity level is greater than a threshold humidity level; and in response to determining that the humidity level is greater than the threshold humidity level: causing, by the humidity controller, a sound source of the information handling system to generate a sound field within the sound field chamber, the sound field comprised of sound waves, the sound waves causing an acoustic agglomeration of the water vapor, the acoustic agglomeration causing the humidity level to decrease.

Decreasing a humidity level in an information handling system

A system for detecting contamination in a two-phase immersion cooling system based on temperature differences between component surface temperature and fluid temperature, a previous component surface temperature and a present component surface temperature and a component surface temperature and a component surface temperature threshold value. Large differences between the component surface temperature and the fluid temperature or between the component surface temperature and a previous component surface temperature or a component surface temperature exceeding a component surface temperature threshold value may indicate contaminants in the fluid that are inhibiting the ability for the component to effectively transfer heat to the fluid. A temperature monitoring system may monitor the temperatures and communicate with a service system to apply corrective measures before the residue can cause significant damage to an information handling system.

A computing device of an information handling system includes an environmental control component and an environmental manager. The environmental control components identifies an aggregate amount of corrosion of a component of the information handling system; obtains a rate of corrosion associated with the component; makes a determination that the rate of corrosion indicates that the component will suffer a premature failure; in response to the determination: identifies an environmental control modification that will remediate the premature failure of the component; and updates an operation of the environmental control component based on the environmental control modification.

The airflow is received by the chassis via an air receiving exchange, and exhausted by the chassis via an air expelling exchange.

System and method for mitigating corrosion based on service life management

A system for detecting contamination in a two-phase immersion cooling system based on current leakage between two combs on a printed circuit board. A first comb is opposite a second comb, wherein each finger of the first comb is positioned between two adjacent fingers on the second comb. The combs are positioned near a heat source in the liquid portion of the fluid. As the fluid boils, contaminants are distilled out of the fluid. Acidic contaminants deposited on either comb may cause metal migration to occur, resulting in bridging between two combs. A current sensor may detect the current leakage and send a signal to allow the information handling system, the fluid, or the cooling system to be serviced before damage occurs to the information handling system.
