An electrical connection assembly for a wireline cutting tool. The electrical connection assembly comprises an electrical connection sub having an upstream end and a downstream end. A pin connector resides within a bore of the electrical connection sub, with the pin connector having a conductive pin. The electrical connection assembly also includes a signal line connector. The signal line connector extends from an upstream end of the electrical connection sub and is in electrical communication with an electric wireline within a wellbore. The signal line connector places the electric wireline in electrical communication with a signal line further downhole. The signal line is associated with a downhole tool. A downstream end of the conductive pin is connected to the signal line. The electrical connection assembly also includes a spring that is wound around the pin and which biases the conductive pin out of a bore of the downstream end of the electrical connection sub.

A system and related methods for volume dimensioning may be implemented by a smartphone, pad, tablet, or similar mobile computing device configured with a three-dimensional imaging system. The system may recognize the edges and corners of an object and infer its dimensions, from which a volume and dimensional weight can be calculated. The system may utilize the determined dimensions to allocate shipping resources to most efficiently and safely transport a shipment through a supply chain, assess damage to an object, assess the compliance of carry-on baggage to size requirements, and quickly assess the stocking of a retailer's and a competitor's products.

A hand-held terminal for receiving, storing and transmitting information is disclosed. The terminal has a keyboard, a display and is powered by internal, rechargeable batteries. An internal battery charging circuit includes a fixed voltage power supply which is controlled to provide a constant current charging current. A low-power radio frequency transceiver, for example, of a spread spectrum technology (SST) device is provided for receiving and transmitting information between the terminal and a base radio transceiver. A modular, magnetic credit card reader is operably and removably attached to the terminal and is interchangeable with a scanner of the type which can read bar codes or the like. Modules display screens, processor/memory modules, modular keyboards, and operating handles are also shown. A modular, compact printer can also be attached to the hand held terminal. Interactive pen based display screens can be used to allow information to be input directly on the screen.

A terminal for receiving and storing information and a reader for reading information and communicating the information to the terminal. A housing is provided which has the terminal and reader integrated therein and also a battery for providing necessary power thereto. A detachable handle can be attached to the housing and includes sides which extend around the sides of the housing as well as partially extending over the top of the housing. An improved mechanism is shown for selectively locking a handle to a terminal. A holster for holding the terminal and handle is also shown. A handle with a scanner integrated therein is attachable to a terminal for receiving and storing information read by the scanner.
