An angularly adjustable table saw jig which comprises a base plate having an upper flat surface for supporting a work piece to be cut, a means for slidably attaching the jig to a table cutting tool, an upwardly extending work advancing abutment rotatably connected to the base plate at an axis of rotation for advancing work into cutting engagement with a table cutting blade, and a slot extending generally parallel to a cutting path of the cutting blade for providing clearance for the cutting blade as the jig is advanced into cutting engagement therewith. The jig also includes an elongated guide rail, which is rotatably connected to the base plate, and whose axis of rotation lies in the same plane of the cutting blade. The jig may include further a shield for preventing undesirable access to a spinning saw blade and for preventing injury from flying debris, a work piece restraining means for preventing movement of work pieces and resultant inaccurate cutting and injury, and a safety cutoff means for preventing power from flowing to the table cutting tool when the operator's hands are not located properly.

Angularly adjustable table saw jig

A base element fuze having dual safing is disclosed. The fuze is useful with an explosive type shell propelled into a ballistic trajectory from the barrel of a gun. The fuze is actuated to move from first safety to the armed condition after experiencing the inertial setback forces of gun firing followed by the drag forces of deceleration during the ballistic flight phase before target impact. The firing circuit contains an inertial magnetic power supply or setback generator which produces a voltage pulse when the gun is fired, a storage capacitor to receive and store the pulse which is later used to initiate a detonator, and switch closure interface circuitry encircuiting the capacitor with the detonator at target impact. The sequence of events within the fuze is programmed by a spring driven rotor which is latched in first safety when assembled, is released when the gun fires, and moves to the armed position in about 18 ms. To protect against the possibility that the rotor may have become unlatched and in the armed condition at firing of the gun, a normally open relay is encircuited across the capacitor. A notch in the face of the rotor is positioned such that it will allow shell acceleration down the gun barrel to bring about closing of the relay contacts and thereby rapidly and harmlessly dissipate the charge generated by the setback generator. Secondly, a G-switch is added between one side of the capacitor and the first side of the electrical detonator element. The G-switch maintains an open circuit between the capacitor and the detonator during the time the shell is accelerating down the gun barrel. Only after the shell leaves the gun barrel and begins to slow down due to its encounter with the air, will the G-switch close to enable detonation to take place.

Dual safing for base element fuze

A torque amplifier for increasing torque applied to rotatable connectors, including a generally perimetrical member for rotation about a central axis; means for inwardly biasing that perimetrical member; connector gripping means carried by said perimetrical member and inwardly directed by said means for biasing; and at least one salient portion extending from the perimetrical member generally in the direction of the axis of rotation of the perimetrical member for increasing applied torque; and a method and a tool for engaging and disengaging the torque amplifier with the connector.

A miniature camera probe including an elongate housing; a fiber optic faceplate proximate a first end of the elongate housing; an aperture in the housing at one face of the fiber optic faceplate; a film holder in the housing at the other face of the fiber optic faceplate; a shutter in the elongate housing for controlling illumination of the faceplate through the aperture; a fiber optic light source extending in the elongate housing from the face of the fiber optic faceplate proximate the aperture to the other end of the elongate housing; and a shutter actuating device extending from the shutter to the other end of the elongate housing.

Miniature camera probe

A contact insertion and removal tool including a removable, replaceable probe made of a hollow tubular member with a slot extending longitudinally from the tip at least part way to the upper end of the tubular member, the tubular member having proximate its tip a reduced outer diameter and enlarged inner diameter sized appropriately for the contact to be inserted and removed; a handle member, independent of the probe, having a passage for receiving the upper end of the tubular member; and means for rotatably securing the probe and handle.
