A water filter cartridge is provided for gravity-feed water filtration applications, and includes a granular filter media made from a mixture of titanium dioxide particles interspersed with granular activated charcoal. The granular filter media is placed in a filter housing having an upper inlet opening and a lower outlet opening. A seal may be disposed around an outer periphery of the housing at its upper region, and may include a flange region that flexes upwardly upon insertion of the sidewall into a filter cartridge opening.

Water filter cartridge

A water filter cartridge is provided for gravity-feed water filtration applications, and includes a granular filter media made from a mixture of titanium dioxide particles interspersed with granular activated charcoal. The granular filter media is placed in a filter housing having an upper inlet opening and a lower outlet opening. A seal may be disposed around an outer periphery of the housing at its upper region, and may include a flange region that flexes upwardly upon insertion of the sidewall into a filter cartridge opening. Optionally, the filter media is arranged in several distinct layers, such as a top media layer that is a mixture of agglomerated nanoparticles of titanium dioxide interspersed with granular activated charcoal, an intermediate media layer in the form of agglomerated nanoparticles of titanium dioxide, and a lower media layer that is another mixture of agglomerated nanoparticles of titanium dioxide interspersed with granular activated charcoal.

A rearview assembly for a vehicle is provided that includes: a housing configured for mounting to the vehicle; a rearview element disposed in the housing that displays images of a scene exterior of the vehicle; a light sensor assembly disposed in the housing; and a controller for receiving the electrical signal of the light sensor and for adjusting a brightness of the images displayed by the rearview element. The light sensor includes a light sensor for outputting an electrical signal representing intensity of light impinging upon a light-receiving surface of the light sensor, and a secondary optical element configured to receive light, wherein the light passes through the secondary optical element to the light sensor, the secondary optical element including a tint material that is substantially color neutral for attenuating light passing therethrough.

A light sensor is provided that includes an exposed light transducer for accumulating charge in proportion to light incident thereon over an integration period; and a light-to-pulse circuit in communication with the exposed light transducer, the light-to-pulse circuit operative to output a pulse having a pulse width based on the charge accumulated by the exposed light transducer. The light-to-pulse circuit may include a one shot logic circuit that contributes to generation of the pulse. The light sensor may include an input/output pad, a capacitor provided at the input/output pad for blocking static electricity, an input low pass filter provided at the input/output pad for blocking electromagnetic interference, and/or a bandgap voltage reference circuit connected to a power source having a supply voltage level in a range of about 3.3V to about 5.0V, and for generating a set of stable reference voltages throughout the supply voltage level range.

Light sensor

A manifolded 3-stage water filtration system includes a deep sand filter assembly, a hydro-cyclone, and a filter and valve manifold assembly fluidly coupled together. The filter and valve manifold assembly includes a pre-filter fluidly coupled with the hydro-cyclone, a first hollow membrane filter fluidly coupled with the pre-filter, a second hollow membrane filter fluidly coupled with the pre-filter and the first hollow membrane filter, and a backwash system. The backwash system includes valves fluidly coupled with pipe sections, the pre-filter, and the first and second hollow membrane filters. Selected valves are closable so that clean water flows from one of the first and the second hollow membrane filters to the other of the first and second hollow membrane filters. Material occluding the other of the first hollow membrane filter and the second hollow membrane filter is removed by the clean water without adding contaminants to the filter.

An imaging system configured to display a captured image on a display having a lower dynamic range than the imaging system is provided, wherein the imaging system includes a high dynamic range imager configured to capture at least one high dynamic range image, and a processing device communicatively connected to the high dynamic range imager, wherein the processing device is configured to reduce color speckles caused by errant interpolated pixel values and reduce occurrence of errant values of alternate color while maintaining at least one of sharpness detail, edge detail, and generate smoothing color rendering in a displayed image.

High dynamic range imaging device

An automatic vehicle equipment control system and methods thereof are provided, the system includes at least one imager configured to acquire a continuous sequence of high dynamic range single frame images, a processor, a color spectral filter array including a plurality of color filters, at least a portion of which are different colors, and pixels of an imager pixel array being in optical communication with substantially one spectral color filter, and a lens, wherein the imager is configured to capture a non-saturated image of nearby oncoming headlamps and at least one of a diffuse lane marking and a distant tail lamp in one image frame of the continuous sequence of high dynamic range single frame images, and the system configured to detect at least one of said highway markings and said tail lamps, and quantify light from the oncoming headlamp from data in the one image frame.

Automatic vehicle equipment monitoring, warning, and control system

An imaging system configured to capture an image is provided, the imaging system including a high dynamic range imager configured to capture at least one high dynamic range image, and circuitry, wherein scheduling tasks within a row time interval is arranged to permit sharing of circuits used for correlated double sampling with selective reset tasks and with pixel readout tasks, and wherein scheduling tasks within a row time interval is arranged to permit sharing of comparator with selective reset tasks and with pixel readout tasks, while also providing at least one selectable integration period for which the integration period is adjustable and set to substantially less than a row time interval.
