An energy storage device includes an integrated fuel gauge that is operatively connected to the energy storage device. The fuel gauge evaluates an operating parameter of the energy storage device and dynamically determines a state of charge. The fuel gauge communicates a communication including a requested operating parameter to the charging component with the single communication line and the signal indicates to an operating system component a change of an energy storage device state. The signal is used to trigger an alert or interrupt that causes the operating system component to display the change of the energy storage state based on the signal.

A system according to examples of the present disclosure includes a battery charger electrically coupled to a battery and a battery charging circuit. The battery charging circuit includes an operational amplifier having a negative input to receive a pre-bias voltage, a positive input, an output, and a voltage offset. The battery charging circuit also includes a charge controller having an analog-to-digital converter to receive a voltage output from the output of the operational amplifier and a voltage supply to supply a voltage input into the positive input of the operation amplifier to cancel the voltage offset of the operational amplifier. In the example, the voltage output of the charge controller is a function of the voltage input of the charge controller.

An example provides an apparatus for determining an attribute of an adapter based on a ratio of voltage divider outputs. The apparatus may include a first analog-to-digital converter to provide a first digital signal corresponding to a first output voltage of a first voltage divider connected between a power node and a ground node, the first voltage divider formed, at least in part, when the apparatus is operatively coupled to the adapter. The apparatus may include a second analog-to-digital converter to provide a second digital signal corresponding to a second output voltage of a second voltage divider connected between the power node and the ground node. The attribute of the adapter may be determined based on a ratio of the output voltages.

A system comprises an energy source that provides a system current for the system. The system also comprises logic coupled to the energy source. The logic receives an analog signal that is derived from a measurement of current in the system and computes an amount of energy consumed by the system based on the analog signal.

Example embodiments disclosed herein relate to a computing system including a controller hub to control system sleep states, and an embedded controller including an internal timer. The embedded controller is to remove power from the controller hub when the system enters a sleep state and to enable power to the controller hub prior to the system wake time. The internal timer is to determine when to enable power to the controller hub. Example methods and machine-readable storage media are also disclosed.
