Technologies for routing an outbound telecommunication from an enterprise telecommunications device to a destination telecommunications device in a contact identification system are disclosed. The system determines the classification of a dialed address using a number plan that may be created by a user from a plurality of predetermined match types. Once the classification of the dialed address is determined, the system routes the outbound telecommunication on a routing path chosen for that classification of telecommunication. Additional embodiments are described herein.

System and method for contact identification

A system and method are presented for analysis of a connection comprising a communication provider and a remote device. Known timing conditions may be used in the analysis to eliminate the impact of analysis delay on the contacted party flow. A point in time may be determined at which a live answer is no longer expected and an answering service answer may be expected using several factors. These factors comprise the routing time to/from the originating provider to a secondary provider as well as the time that the secondary provider alerts before transferring to a voice message service. Live answer determination may be categorized prior to the indication of a far-end connection and before the application of any media analysis routines.

System and method for communication provider and remote device connection analysis

A scrambler circuit for digital telephony equipment receives a sequence of input bits, generates the sequence of output bits based on the input bits and stores the sequence of output bits. The generating of the sequence of output bits includes selecting at least one of the stored output bits in accordance with contents of a mask register, and applying a logic operation to a current input bit and the selected at least one stored output bit to provide a current output bit.

Programmable scrambler and De-scrambler for digital telephony equipment

A programmable frame splitter includes a plurality of programmable routers connected to a communication line. The routers contain logic to specify which bits of a frame of serial data are passed to an output of each of the routers. A control unit is provided having logic to control loading and startup of the routers. A field processing unit is provided to receive a bit-clock-out signal from each of the routers and serial data from the communication line. The field processing unit splits the frame of serial data into component fields and performs processing on the field.

Programmable frame splitter

A digital frame determination method and apparatus are provided which collect a data frame from a digital data stream starting at an initial frame start and a nominal frame frequency, test the data frame for alignment based on a set of rules, determine an adjustment value in accordance with the set of rules when the data frame is not aligned, adjust the frame start in accordance with the adjustment value, and repeat until the data frame is aligned and the alignment is verified.
