In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, an electronic input device is described. The electronic input device includes a scribing shaft disposed within a housing, the scribing shaft to translate along a longitudinal axis as a result of contact with a substrate. The electronic input device also includes an input sensor. The input sensor includes a plate secured within the housing. The plate elastically deforms responsive to the translation of the scribing shaft. A full-bridge strain gauge of the input sensor is disposed on a surface of the plate. The full-bridge strain gauge detects a deformation of the plate and outputs a corresponding signal, which corresponding signal varies dependent upon the amount of deformation of the plate. The input sensor also includes a failure protection device to limit the deformation of the plate to within a predetermined amount.

Scribing shaft sensors

Delivery robot and method of operation

A digital pen systems and methods are provided. The digital pen comprises an internal pen module comprising a cartridge and a pressure sensor, a body housing the internal pen module, and a shuttle connected to the internal pen module on a first end of the digital pen and connected to a twist mechanism on a second end of the digital pen. The shuttle moves the cartridge and the pressure sensor when the twist mechanism is engaged.

A manually manipulable actuator mechanism includes a body and a manually manipulable element. The body has at least one wall element having a length extending along a first axis and a height extending along a second axis orthogonal to the first axis. The manually manipulable element has a button portion adapted for human digital manipulation and at least one wing portion extending outwardly from the button portion. The manually manipulable element is movable along the first axis between a first position in which an operative element is in a non-actuated condition and a second position in which the operative element is in an actuated condition. The wall element, which has a first height at the first position and a different second height at the second position, cooperates with the wing portion to constrain movement of the manually manipulable element at least along a third axis orthogonal to the first and second axes while the manually manipulable element is moved between the first and second positions.

A rinser for a gravity feed can conveyor system includes a plurality of nozzles for directing high pressure water into the cans as they pass by the rinser. At least some of the nozzles are angular oriented with respect to the cans in the conveyor system so that some water impinges on side surfaces of the cans in such a manner as to urge the cans through the conveyor. A rotator following the rinser rotates the cans from a downward angle to a vertical position for filling in at least three succeeding sections of conveyor.

A high speed gravity feed can conveyor comprises two facing C-shaped guides formed of hard chrome plated sheet metal. The guides are held in opposed spaced relationship by open U-shaped collars distributed along the conveyor. The collars distributed along the conveyor. The collars are formed with openings positioned downward having sufficient width to pass a can turned from a rolling orientation in the conveyor. The edges of the C-shaped guides are turned in a direction to support a rolling can and are covered with ultra-high molecular weight plastic to minimize rolling friction and protect the metal surface. The facing guide surfaces with chrome plating reduce sliding friction when a can end contacts a guide and reduce the potential for nicking the surface.
