A cartridge including a rotatable image bearing member which bears a developer, a cleaning member for removing a developer remaining on a surface of the image bearing member, the cleaning member having a contact portion in contact with the surface of the image bearing member and a support portion which supports the contact portion, a developer recovering portion which recovers the developer removed by the cleaning member, a first conveyance member which is disposed inside the developer recovering portion and conveys the recovered developer in a rotation axis direction of the image bearing member, a second conveyance member which conveys the developer conveyed by the first conveyance member in a direction crossing the rotation axis direction toward a discharge port provided in the developer recovering portion, and a third conveyance member to convey the developer toward the center of the photosensitive drum in the rotational axis direction. The second conveyance member is disposed at an inner side of the contact portion of the cleaning member with respect to an end part of the contact portion of the cleaning member.

Process unit including first, second and third conveyance members for conveying developer

A cartridge includes a first unit including a photosensitive member, and a second unit including a developer bearing member and a force receiving portion, the second unit being configured to be rotatable about a first axis to move with respect to the first unit between a first position and a second position. In a state where the first unit is in a same posture as when an image forming operation is performed, the second unit is disposed at the second position by its own weight. The developer bearing member is configured to be rotatable about a second axis. When seen in the direction of the first axis, a first distance between the force receiving portion and the second axis is smaller than a second distance between the first axis and the second axis and a third distance between the first axis and the force receiving portion.

Cartridge and image forming apparatus

A first contact portion provided on a first shutter member that opens and closes a receiving port for receiving a developer from a cartridge and a second contact portion provided on the cartridge are configured to contact each other in an attachment and detachment direction of the cartridge so that the first shutter member is in a position at which the receiving port is opened. The first shutter member is urged by a first urging member so that a contacting state between the first contact portion and the second contact portion is maintained until a second shutter member that opens and closes a supplying port of the cartridge closes the supplying port when the cartridge is discharged from the apparatus body.

In a moving unit, a shutter member is provided with a first contact portion configured to receive a force in a predetermined direction when the shutter member comes into contact with the apparatus main body, and a second contact portion configured to receive a force in a direction different from the predetermined direction when the shutter member comes into contact with the apparatus main body. When the moving unit is moved from the second position to the first position along the first direction, the first and second contact portions sequentially come into contact with the apparatus main body, the shutter member moves relative to the delivery member in the order of a second direction intersecting the first direction, and the first direction, and the opening changes from the closed state to the open state.

A process cartridge includes a first unit including an image bearing member to bear a developing agent image, a second unit including a development frame member in which a developing agent bearing member to bear a developing agent to be supplied to the image bearing member is supported, and a coupling portion that can couple the first and second units such that the second unit is swingable with the coupling portion as a rotation center. The development frame member includes a replenishing opening for the developing agent, and an elastically-deformable sealing member that seals the supply portion and the replenishing opening. An image forming apparatus includes a cartridge, a first door, and a second door. The first door is movable between a first closed position and a first open position to permit dismounting the cartridge from the main. The second door is movable, independently of the first door, between a second closed position for closing the main assembly and a second opened position for uncovering the first door and for opening the main assembly. The second door is provided with a recess. When the first door is in the first open position, the recess of the second door is capable of accommodating at least a part of the first door. The cartridge is capable of being inserted into the main assembly while sliding on the second door and then on the first door.

A feeding apparatus includes a feeding member, first and second conveying members, a separation member, and drive and control units. The feeding member feeds a recording material placed on a tray. The separation member and the first conveying member form a nip portion and separates recording materials at the nip portion. The second conveying member conveys a conveyed recording material. The drive unit drives at least the feeding member. The control unit controls to feed first and second recording materials such that a second recording material front edge passes the nip portion before a first recording material rear edge passes the nip portion, and controls to stop the second recording material after the second recording material front edge has passed the nip portion such that the first recording material rear edge reaches the second conveying member before the second recording material front edge reaches the second conveying member.
