The invention relates to a device for attaching to a face-to-face weaving machine cylindrical upper and lower temples of the type having inclined toothed rings provided on shanks, the shanks of the upper and lower temples being attached to separate L-shaped upper and lower temple holder plates, in such a manner the temple shanks, pointing to the center of the weaving machines, are attached to the leg of the L-shaped holder plate placed in the warp direction, whereas the other leg of the L-shaped holder is directed towards the outside of the weaving machine and, in a manner adjustable in the warp-direction, is attached to a horizontal connecting piece, itself, in a manner adjustable as to height, being attached to a vertical holder.

Method for manufacturing a fabric with a rib structure, in particular a false boucl&eacute; fabric, whereby a backing fabric is woven out of binding warp threads (,), (,) and weft threads (,), (,), whereby pattern warp threads (,), (,) are alternately interlaced in the backing fabric and along one side of the backing fabric are rib-formingly passed around at least one weft thread (,) running outside the backing fabric. A fabric is thus obtained with a rib structure on only one side. Because of this the consumption of pattern warp yarn can be reduced.

A method for weaving fabrics with a two-sided rib structure, such as false boucl{acute over (e)} fabrics, comprises forming a fabric on a weaving machine from weft threads and warp threads of a series of warp thread systems, with sets of at least two weft threads running one above the other. Each warp thread system comprises at least three pattern warp threads of which two opposite each other, respectively along the upper side and the lower side of the fabric, form a number of ribs. The pattern warp threads are alternately rib-formingly passed around over one or several sets of weft threads and are interlaced in the fabric, while each additional pattern warp thread is inwoven in the fabric between weft threads of the sets over which other pattern warp threads are rib-formingly passed around. The additional pattern warp threads hold the weft threads of the aforesaid sets at a greater distance from each other in the fabric, so that a greater rib height is provided, and the fabric more closely approximates a loop pile fabric than the known fabrics. Furthermore with each additional pattern warp thread an additional color can be added to the fabric, so that a more varied fabric can be obtained.
