In a display panel, drivers for driving LEDs of pixels are distributed over a substrate, and transceivers relay pixel data from a timing controller to the drivers. The drivers are divided into groups. Respective drivers in a group receive corresponding pixel data addressed thereto solely from one corresponding transceiver. The corresponding transceiver and the respective drivers are daisy-chained to form one first linear daisy chain, where each pair of immediately-adjacent first drivers are connected. Plural first linear daisy chains are formed for all groups. The transceivers are daisy-chained to form a second linear daisy chain by connecting each pair of immediately-adjacent transceivers. The first and second linear daisy chains form a fishbone topology network to enable transmission of pixel data from the timing controller to the drivers while reducing a data-line footprint on the substrate that mounts the pixels, driver and transceivers in comparison to a conventional star-topology network.

A computing device for interacting with a user, comprising: a touch-sensing enabled display panel comprising one or more touch sensors for sensing an on-screen touch and one or more physical keys being positioned adjacent to edges of the display panel and configured to serve as off-screen keys for sensing an off-screen touch. The touch-sensing functionality is extended by coupling the touch screen with proximally positioned physical keys for detecting touch gesture such that additional gestures can be detected and in turn enhancing the computing device's user experience.

A PMOLED display includes a plurality of lower electrode patterns arranged in parallel in the x-axis direction, a plurality of transparent electrode patterns arranged in parallel in the y-axis direction and being perpendicular to the lower electrode patterns, and an organic compound layer interposed between the lower electrode patterns and the transparent electrode patterns. A display output and a touch sensing is performed by time-sharing a control period for the lower electrode patterns and the transparent electrode patterns into a display control period and a touch-sensor control period in every display frame time. The PMOLED display includes a driving node formed on a line for communication between the transparent electrode patterns and a display driving circuit, a touch-sensing unit connecting the driving node and a touch-sensing circuit; and a plurality of metal electrode patterns provided between the transparent electrode patterns to have a length shorter than the transparent electrode patterns.

Passive matrix organic light emitting diode display

A PMOLED touch-sensing display panel using anodes as in-cell touch sensors is provided. The anodes and the cathodes are respectively and correspondingly configured into two or more electrically isolated areas of cathodes and anodes such that the heavy parasitic capacitance due to close proximity of the anode layer and the cathode layer is eliminated, hence providing a full dynamic range in sensing the changes in capacitance due to finger touches.

A slim and cost effective power module solution derived from the multiple-phase buck converter technology that addresses the problems of inductor thickness and excessive magnetic material use. Such power module solution utilizes a multi-phase constant current topology and a corresponding electronic controller to provide a constant current source for various OLED lighting applications. The multi-phase constant current topology comprises two or more inductor-flyback diode feedback loops. Each inductor-flyback diode feedback loop is triggered ON and OFF out-of-phase by a current controller, which senses and estimates the average current supplied to the load, and causes the adjustments to the average current supplied to the load by controlling the ON duration of the inductor-flyback diode feedback loops.
