According to various embodiments, an electronic apparatus may comprise: a housing including a front cover, a rear cover facing a direction opposite a direction of the front cover, and a side frame surrounding a space between the front cover and the rear cover; and a distance detection sensor module configured to detect a distance to an external object through the front cover from inside the space, wherein the distance detection sensor module may include: a substrate including a light emitting unit, a light receiving unit, a control circuit, and a ground layer; a module housing disposed on the substrate; a first shield can disposed in the module housing and electrically connected to the ground layer of the substrate; and a second shield can surrounding at least a portion of the light emitting unit disposed in the first shield can and exposed through the first shield can, and in contact with at least a portion of the first shield can.

According to an embodiment, an electronic device comprises: a camera module configured to acquire an image, wherein the image comprises a portion depicting at least one target object; a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor configured to generate depth data regarding the at least one target object; at least one processor operatively connected with the camera module and the ToF sensor; and at least one memory operatively connected with the at least one processor, wherein the at least one memory stores instructions that, when being executed, cause the at least one processor to perform a plurality of operations, the plurality of operations comprising: while acquiring the image by using the camera module, measuring a first distance between the at least one target object and the electronic device, based on the depth data from the ToF sensor; pause an operation of the ToF sensor when the measured first distance is longer than a designated distance; while the operation of the ToF sensor is paused, measure a second distance between the at least one target object and the electronic device, using the camera module; and when the measured second distance is within the designated distance, resume the operation of the ToF sensor.

An electronic device includes a communication circuit, a light source for emitting light of set frequencies, an image sensor for acquiring reflected light of the emitted light, a memory for storing offset values for respective reference frequencies of the set frequencies, and a processor. The processor is configured to receive a distance measurement input, identify whether the communication circuit is activated, determine that, in response to identification that the communication circuit is activated, a first frequency distinguished from a frequency used by the activated communication circuit is a frequency of the emitted light among the configured frequencies, acquire information on a distance between the electronic device and an external object, based on the reflected light of the emitted light of the first frequency, and acquire corrected distance information by applying an offset of the first frequency to the acquired distance information.
