A computer-implemented update-triggered document-defined workflow method provides for triggering an update to an original source document to yield an updated document. In response, a document handler executes the document-defined workflow method so as to create, delete, or modify a target document or so as to create a workflow description calling for creating, deleting, or modifying a target document.

If a top-level document refers to a second document as a template, a first method specified by said top-level document is executed to yield a presentation that is used as an argument for a second method specified by the second document. If the top-level document does not refer to another document as a template, the first method is executed to yield a final presentation.

Document handling method

A method of managing multiple resource identifiers in a machine readable document includes allocating one or more resource identifiers to a context. A context name is associated to the context and the context name and resource identifier are associated in the document.

The invention relates to a method and apparatus for selection of pictures to print from a digital film, using a digital film enabled printer. The method comprises the steps of printing a selection sheet of thumbnail representations of photographs available on the digital film needed to be printed, the selection sheet further comprising a plurality of selection fields. According to a user choice of photograph to be printed, one or more of the selection fields associated with the thumbnails is marked and the marked selection sheet feed back into the printer. The printer includes a scanning mechanism which is arranged to read the marked up sheet and, in accordance with the user choice, print one or more photographs from the digital media in accordance with the marked selection fields.

This invention relates to a detachable display , in particular to a detachable liquid crystal display for an electronic device. The display has a first plate , a second plate parallel to the first plate , and a layer of liquid crystal material between the first plate and the second plates . So that the liquid crystal material can be addressed, a plurality of X address lines are provided on the first plate , and a plurality of Y address lines are provided on the second plate . The X address lines and the Y address lines are each respectively connected to X contacts and Y contacts, the X contacts and Y contacts being positioned along a single connecting edge of the display, so that the display can be connected/disconnected to/from a matching connector by simply sliding connecting edge of the display into/out of the connector.
