An emissions measurement system capable of providing an accurate, real-time measurement of an emissions sample is disclosed. The exhaust may be generated by an internal combustion engine, in which case the system may be sequentially connected to the exhaust from the internal combustion engine. The emissions measurement system can include a laser light opacity sensor, a light scattering sensor, and a particle ionization sensor.

An apparatus and method for generating a controlled, predictable, reproducible and variable-size distribution of particulate matter (PM), particle number (PN) and/or facsimile/simulation, derived from vaporizing and condensing a specialized liquid, utilizing a vapor delivery device; a filter capability so as to remove a significant amount of ambient PM/PN as a secondary calibration process for the identification of fine and ultra-fine particles (e.g., 0.3 micrometers and smaller) as well as a computer-controlled ability to perform a pre-determined series of calibration routines, housed in a container.

Particulate calibration and generation simulator for particle measurement and number

An emissions measurement system capable of providing an accurate, real-time estimate of particle number (PN)/particulate matter (PM) within exhaust is disclosed. The system is capable of accurately differentiating the size and composition of PM/PN by synchronizing dissimilarly configured sensors. The exhaust may be generated by an internal combustion engine, in which case the system may be sequentially connected to the exhaust from the internal combustion engine.

Particulate matter/number synchronization measurement device

A transducer, including: a housing; a bridge sensor circuit disposed within the housing and including at least one micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) sensing elements and first and second output ports; circuitry disposed within the housing; and an input/output (I/O) line electrically connected to the circuitry, accessible at an exterior of the housing, and adapted for receipt of input voltage or current. The circuitry is for generating a single data signal that combines respective outputs of the first and second output ports, and transmitting the DC-coupled single data signal on the I/O line. The circuitry is for generating and transmitting to the bridge sensor circuit an excitation current or voltage using the input voltage or current.

A zero input current charge sensitive preamplifier comprised of a feedback means and, optionally, a charge cancellation means whereby the feedback means is comprised of a feedback loop having a feedback capacitor and a composite operational amplifier having a non-inverting input and being comprised of a common drain differential amplifier, having at least one junction field effect transistor which is coupled with a monolithic operational amplifier; and wherein the charge cancellation means is comprised of an integrator placed in the feedback loop at the non-inverting input of the composite operational amplifier.
