The water conduit flow indicator is a device that is configured to be installed between a spigot and a water conduit in order to provide an audible alarm that water fluid is flowing through the device. The water conduit flow indicator is further defined with a housing that features an inlet and an outlet. The housing includes an internal partition that separates a fluid side from a dry side. Located within the housing is a pair of impeller blades. The pair of impeller blades is further defined with a fluid impeller blade and a dry impeller blade. The dry side of the housing includes a ringer bell that comes into contact with the dry impeller blade such that as the dry impeller blade rotates, the ringer bell generates an audible noise that alerts an end user as to the fluid flow occurring through the water conduit flow indicator.

The various technologies presented herein relate to detection of a lock is being tampered with, cut, removed, etc. An electrical circuit can be incorporated into a lock portion and a securing portion (e.g., a bar, a cable, etc.) of the lock. The electrical circuit can include a conductive element located along the length of the bar, cable, etc., with an electrical charge applied to the conductive element. Upon damage to the conductive element, e.g., during an attempt to cut or remove the lock, a change in the electrical charge from an initial state can be determined, which can further generate an alarm. The alarm can be a light, speaker, etc. An alarm notification can be transmitted from the lock to a remote device, e.g., a mobile phone, a central monitoring system, etc. A trembler switch can be incorporated into the lock to detect movement of the lock.

The present invention relates to fusion molecules composed of human interleukin-3 (hIL-3) variant or mutant proteins (muteins) functionally joined to a second colony stimulating factor (CSF), cytokine, lymphokine, interleukin or IL-3 variant. These hIL-3 variants contain amino acid substitutions and may also have amino acid deletions at both the N- and C-termini. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing the fusion molecules and methods for using them.

The present invention comprises a multilayered heel construction for footwear. A fluid-filled bladder is incorporated into the heel of footwear. The bladder defines an internal cavity which is adapted to enclose a fluid at atmospheric pressure. The internal cavity defines a peripheral channel adjacent the periphery of the bladder and a plurality of intersecting channels orientated transversely to the longitudinal axis of the footwear. The intersecting channels are in communication with the peripheral channel of the interior cavity. The bladder is positioned at the heel of the footwear and is positioned intermediate an upper footbed support. The lower surface of the multilayered heel assembly defines a concave, cantilever surface. The combination of the bladder, the upper footbed support and the lower cantilever surface improve shock absorption and the stability of the footwear.

The present invention relates to recombinant human interleukin-3 (hIL-3) variant or mutant proteins (muteins). These hIL-3 muteins contain amino acid substitutions and may also have amino acid deletions at both the N- and C-termini. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing the hIL-3 muteins and methods for using them. Additionally, the present invention relates to recombinant expression vectors comprising nucleotide sequences encoding the hIL-3 muteins, related microbial expression systems, and processes for making the hIL-3 muteins using the microbial expression systems. Included in the present invention are deletion mutants of hIL-3 in which from 1 to 14 amino acids have been deleted from the N-terminus, and from 1 to 15 amino acids (a.a.119 to 133) have been deleted from the C-terminus, and which also contain amino acid substitutions in the polypeptide. These hIL-3 multiple mutation polypeptides may have biological activities similar to or better than hIL-3 and, in some cases, may also have an improved side effect profile.
