According to an embodiment, a method of processing a material for a catalyst includes establishing an electrical potential on a porous electrode. Core particles are directed through the porous electrode. A layer of metal is deposited on the core particles as the particles pass through the porous electrode. According to an embodiment, an example assembly for processing a material for a catalyst includes a housing that establishes a path for particles to move through the housing. A porous electrode is situated within the housing for permitting core particles to move through the porous electrode. A layer of metal can be deposited on the core particles as the particles pass through the porous electrode.

Method and system for core-shell catalyst processing

In one embodiment of the present disclosure, a process for electrochemical hydrogen production is provided. The process includes providing an electrochemical cell with an anode side including an anode, a cathode side including a cathode, and a membrane separating the anode side from the cathode side. The process further includes feeding molecules of at least one gaseous reactant to the anode, oxidizing one or more molecules of the gaseous reactant at the anode to produce a gas product and protons, passing the protons through the membrane to the cathode, and reducing the protons at the cathode to form hydrogen gas.

Production of low temperature electrolytic hydrogen

In one embodiment of the present disclosure an electrocatalyst support for a fuel cell is provided which includes a doped titania metal oxide. The dopant includes a valve metal. The doped titania metal oxide has a BET surface area of greater than 20 m/g.

In certain embodiments of the present disclosure, a proton exchange membrane fuel cell is described. The fuel cell includes a twin-cell electrochemical filter.
