A center flare tip assembly () and plenum flare tip assembly () with arms (), having the outside of the center flare tip assembly (), both inside and outside of the tips (), the outside of the arms (), and/or adjacent features of the flare tip () are covered with a high emissivity thermal layer () with an emissivity greater than 0.85. This reduces flare metal temperatures by thirty percent (30%) or greater, and increases flare life by two (2) to five (5) times current life.

Flare tips

Electric arc, and ladle, furnaceshave componentswith a high-emissivity/high reflectivity layerdisposed on the hot face. The componentincludes a water-cooled panel, a duct, roofframe, pipes, dry delta, water-cooled delta, fourth hole elbow, fourth hole roof, side wallsand combinations thereof. The high-emissivity/high-reflectivity layercomprises, in dry admixture, from about 5% to about 40% of an inorganic adhesive, from about 45% to about 92% of a filler, and from about 1% to about 25% of one or more emissivity agents.

Electric arc and ladle furnaces and components

Additives containing a filler, and an emissivity agent are combined for thermal enhancement, which may further include a reflectivity agent, a stabilizer, or combinations thereof. The additive is used in the production of cloth or the modification of cloth including clothing, home goods, and temporary shelters, and may be used in screen printing and three dimensional applications. More than one type of filler, emissivity agent, reflective agent, and stabilizer may be used.

Thermal enhancement additives useful for fabrics

The present invention relates to a surface modified overhead conductor with a coating that allows the conductor to operate at lower temperatures. The coating contains about 5% to about 30% of an inorganic adhesive, about 45% to about 92% of a filler, about 2% to about 20% of one or more emissivity agents, and about 1% to about 5% of a stabilizer.

Method of forming a coated overhead conductor

Crematory

Provide an oven and optional cooking accessories having a high emissivity thermal protective layer on a substrate surface which comprises a metal or ceramic. The layer comprises from about 5% to 30% of an inorganic adhesive, from about 45% to 92% of at least one filler, and from about 1% to 25% of one or more emissivity agents; or from about 5% to 35% of colloidal silica, colloidal alumina, or combinations thereof, from about 23% to 79% of at least one filler, and from about 1% to 25% of one or more emissivity agents.

Food product and method and apparatus for baking

A cracking furnace construction includes a firebox defining a chamber having a high emissivity thermal protective coating disposed on at least part of the refractory walls and/or on process tubes disposed within the chamber. The coating contains an inorganic adhesive for metal/alloy tubes or colloidal silica and/or colloidal alumina for refractory walls or ceramic tubes, a filler, and one or more emissivity agents. A method of coating the firebox chamber includes preparing the surface of the tubes/refractory walls, preparing the coating, and applying the coating to the surface.

Thermal protective layer on metallic and/or ceramic substrate surfaces within/on an outer cover, an inner cover, a base/door, and/or a support member within a bell annealing furnace has from about 5% to about 30% of an inorganic adhesive, from about 45% to about 92% of a filler and from about 1% to about 20% of one or more emissivity agents, or from about 5% to about 35% of colloidal silica, colloidal alumina, or combinations thereof, from about 23% to about 79% of a filler, and from about 1% to about 20% of one or more emissivity agents.

Bell annealing furnace

Process and apparatus to form vinyl chloride monomer from ethylene dichloride in a cracking furnace, including a firebox chamber having a thermal protective layer disposed on refractory walls and/or process tubes disposed within the chamber, a quencher to form vinyl chloride monomer, and fractionator separate products. The thermal protective layer which contains an inorganic adhesive for metal/alloy tubes or colloidal silica and/or colloidal alumina for refractory walls or ceramic tubes, a filler, and one or more emissivity agents.

Process and apparatus for production of vinyl chloride monomer

A coating, method of coating and substrates coated thereby, wherein the coating contains an inorganic adhesive such as an alkali/alkaline earth metal silicate such as sodium silicate, potassium silicate, calcium silicate, and magnesium silicate; a filler such as a metal oxide for example silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, titanium dioxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide and boron oxide; and one or more emissivity agents such as silicon hexaboride, carbon tetraboride, silicon tetraboride, silicon carbide, molybdenum disilicide, tungsten disilicide, zirconium diboride, cupric chromite, or metallic oxides such as iron oxides, magnesium oxides, manganese oxides, chromium oxides and copper chromium oxides, and derivatives thereof. A stabilizer such as bentonite, kaolin, magnesium alumina silicon clay, tabular alumina and stabilized zirconium oxide may be added.

Thermal protective coating

A coating admixture, method of coating and substrates coated thereby, wherein the coating contains colloidal silica, colloidal alumina, or combinations thereof; a filler such as silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, titanium dioxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide and boron oxide; and one or more emissivity agents such as silicon hexaboride, carbon tetraboride, silicon tetraboride, silicon carbide, molybdenum disilicide, tungsten disilicide, zirconium diboride, cupric chromite, or metallic oxides such as iron oxides, magnesium oxides, manganese oxides, chromium oxides, copper chromium oxides, cerium oxides, terbium oxides, and derivatives thereof. In a coating solution, an admixture of the coating contains water. A stabilizer such as bentonite, kaolin, magnesium alumina silicon clay, tabular alumina and stabilized zirconium oxide is also added.
