A termite-proof bath trap barrier comprising a termite-proof screen with a pass-through hole therein which permits a conduit to pass therethrough. The conduit is secured in the pass-through hole in the screen with a termite-proof adhesive sealant which completely blocks passage of pests through the hole. The screen is secured to the top surface of the slab with a termite-proof adhesive sealant after the conduit is secured in its end-use position.

Electrically conductive paths are positioned in and extend transversely across the width of the backing of strips of wrapping material. The electrically conductive paths provide means for conducting electrical current through spirally wrapped protective materials from the surrounding earth to voids formed adjacent the overlapped edges of the wrapping material and thus permit cathodic protection for pipe surfaces exposed to voids formed as a result of improper application or bonding failures of the wrapping material.

Fail safe protective wrapping

A composite membrane comprising a layer of rubberized asphalt having a heavy duty plastic film layer continuously bonded to one side and, optionally, a layer of nonwoven geotextile continuously bonded to the other side. The membrane can be used in vertical or horizontal applications, and is particularly useful for its stress-relief properties that resist crack formation and propagation in concrete walls and slabs in addition to serving as a barrier to moisture, toxic substances and insects. An appropriate composite membrane of the invention can be advantageously utilized in positive side, blindside, underslab or split slab applications. The thickness of the composite membrane preferably ranges from about 30 mils to about 150 mils.
