A method of securing a chain of custody of a specimen of a donor prevents tampering with or accidental mismanagement of the specimen. The method includes providing a tamper evident seal operable to indicate that an assaying device has been tampered with once the seal is sealed, the seal including a label having at least one portion including a machine-readable indicia area. The assaying device comprises a collection cup and a cap that carries at least one test strip.

The system utilizes an assaying device having a collection cup and a cap that carries at least one test strip. The device includes an integrated aliquot delivery mechanism actuatable to wet the test strip with an aliquot delivered from the fluid specimen. The assaying device operates in conjunction with an electronic reader device capable of actuating the aliquot delivery mechanism and reading the reaction of the test strip. A reader device defines a keyed receptacle for accommodating a complementary shaped cup housing in a particular orientation. The reader device includes a camera for capturing the image of a test strip, an actuator for actuating an aliquot delivery mechanism, and a microprocessor/controller for (1) controlling the camera and actuator and (2) processing the image.

A spill proof liquid sample cup is provided having an outer shell and an inner liner. The inner liner defines a sample chamber. The inner liner is spaced inwardly from the outer shell such that a test chamber is formed between the outer shell and the inner liner that is fluidly separate from the sample chamber. The inner liner is configured with a valve to allow selective fluid communication between the sample chamber and the test chamber. The valve is actuatable by either removing a bottom cap, manual manipulation, or by an external tool. One or more test strips are located within the test chamber to provide information about the sample fluid.

Spill proof liquid sample cup

A method and apparatus for collecting a fluid specimen, locally analyzing the specimen to qualitatively detect specified chemical components at concentrations above threshold levels, and providing machine readable test results for facilitating data collection and reporting. The apparatus includes an assaying device comprised of a cup for collecting a fluid specimen and a cap carrying at least one test strip for visually reacting to one or more specified chemical components in the specimen. The cap also carries an aliquot delivery mechanism for forcing an aliquot of the fluid specimen onto the test strip. An improved control and monitoring system for managing more than one computer system using a witch with a single connector for keyboard, video and mouse signals for each computer being managed. A notebook style display, keyboard, and pointing device attached to the switch provide a human interface. Each computer is attached to the switch using a cable having a single connector at the attachment point to the switch and separate connectors for keyboard, video, and pointing device signals at the attachment point to each computer, thus allowing a greater density of connections to computers without modifying the computers being controlled and monitored. Even greater densities may be realized by designating one switch as a master and attaching additional switches to the master.

System and method for remotely controlling and monitoring a plurality of computer systems

An overhead storage device includes a storage container that is pivotably or rotatably mounted to an overhead surface, such as a ceiling or a plurality of rafters. The storage container is generally moved by a motorized actuator assembly. The motorized actuator assembly can comprise a worm drive and follower nut arrangement or a flexible transmitter and spool assembly. The storage container is supported by a frame assembly and is secured to the frame assembly generally at an end of the storage container. The overhead storage device is sized to allow a motor vehicle to fit below a raised storage container in an average height garage. The storage container is assembled from two generally identical halves that are nestable for shipping and storage.
