A computerized method and system of validating a check at presentment for payment includes executing imaging software and decoding software stored in a computer memory housed in a computer, generating pixel data from the encoded indicia on the instrument, digitizing the pixel data to generate digital pixel data, storing the digital pixel data in the memory, generating a data set by decoding the digital pixel data, and transmitting the data set to a server over a network, wherein the server is configured to execute validation software to determine if the negotiable instrument has been previously presented for payment. The computer then receives a validation indicator back from said server to display on the computer.

Method and system of preventing duplicate check presentation

A vehicle mounted post hole digger for digging post holes in the ground. The vehicle mounted post hole digger includes a spaced apart pair of adjustably extendible support braces with base pivotally coupled to forwards ends of the support braces. A first end of a telescopic boom arm is pivotally coupled to a first end of the base. A motor is pivotally coupled to a second end of the boom arm. The motor has a rotating shaft outwardly extending therefrom to which an elongate auger is attached.

Vehicle mounted post hole digger

A bag assembly for a vacuum cleaner of the type having a housing defining a bag-receiving compartment, and a lid for closing an opening in the housing above the bag-receiving compartment. The bag assembly comprises a bag having a side wall with upper edge margins defining a bag mouth, and an annular bag support of synthetic resin material. The bag support has an annular wall with a generally vertical central axis, and an annular sealing formation adjacent the top of the wall. The upper edge margins of the bag are stitched to the annular wall of the bag support to provide a seal between the wall and the bag around the mouth of the bag. The bag assembly is placed in the bag-receiving compartment of the vacuum cleaner and the lid moved to a closed position in which the annular sealing formation on the bag support is sealingly engageable with the housing.

An in wire active cancelling system cancels undesirable repetitive signal components from a primary electronics signal controlling desired intelligent signal components and undesirable repetitive signal components. The primary electronic signal is fed as an input to an electronic mixer. A second input to the electronic mixer is a repetitive cancelling signal which is applied by the mixer to cancel the undesirable repetitive signal component from the primary signal without interfering with passage of the primary signal intelligent signal components. The repetitive cancellation signal is developed from a residual signal developed by the mixer and a timing signal obtained from a timing signal generator.

In-wire selective active cancellation system

An active sound attenation system for combustion engine exhaust systems and the like is disclosed. To protect the counter-noise acoustic wave generator from the environment of the medium propagating the undesirable noise, an acoustically tuned anti-noise chamber is interposed between the wave generators 19, 19A and the location of the medium with the undesirable noise. To provide for global cancellation at the outlet end 4, of the exhaust pipe 10, the anti-noise chamber 11, 11A has an annular opening disposed substantially in the plane 4 of the exhaust pipe outlet thereby giving the undesirable noise and the cancelling noise an apparent common source.

A combination camera back is disclosed which includes devices for motor-driven loading and unloading of disposable package envelopes with sheet film, light exposure meters, and optional video image devices.

Film handling arrangements for sheet film view cameras and the like

An electrical connector assembly in which a latching lever is formed in the wall of the receptacle connector of the assembly. The lever has a latch shoulder engageable with a catch on the mating plug connector. The lever is pivotally mounted on the receptacle connector housing by integral live hinge pivots which extend laterally from the sides of the lever so that the lever is pivotable about an axis passing laterally through the receptacle housing, thereby providing a very low profile connector.

A manually operated release and test apparatus is disclosed for use with mechanically powered protection devices. A spring powered fire alarm, for example, is triggered either by exposure of its sensitive fusing element to a predetermined temperature, or by complete physical removal of the sensitive fusing element from the device. The release and test apparatus of this invention is a lever mounted on the alarm device for the consistent removal of the fuse assembly for testing the alarm while avoiding inflicting any damage thereto. This apparatus facilitates the testing and demonstration of the alarm device, without modifying the aesthetic appearance of the alarm. Also disclosed is a chain attachment which permits a remote force to be directly applied to the release lever so as to provide a release and test means for manual activation of the alarm in emergency situations.
