The present disclosure relates to energy storage devices having: a sealed container configured to house a plurality of energy storage devices and enable electrical communication via terminals of the sealed container and a vent located on a periphery of the sealed container. The vent generally comprises a vent panel; a countersink located adjacent the vent panel; at least one score located in the countersink; a buckling initiator at least partially located on the countersink, where the buckling initiator is configured to intersect with the at least one score; and a hinge portion attached to the vent panel, where the hinge portion is positioned opposite the buckling initiator.

Energy storage device and related methods

A wheel for a pneumatic tire has a rim with one monolithic bead seat and a removable beat seat. The removable bead seat has two halves that embrace the rim and engage a groove to retain the tire. The removable bead seat may have a second lip either monolithically formed or as a part of a separate retainer that bolts to the bead seat. The wheel may be made from aluminum alloy.

In addition, a method of friction stir welding a plurality of joints simultaneously comprising using at least one multi-shouldered friction stir welding tool is provided.

The present invention provides a thin vehicle closure panel design that substantially reduces a thickness (panel gauge plus the perpendicular distance or depth between the panels) of a vehicle hood () and the impact effect on the head of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. Portable friction stir welding apparatus having a crawler which supports a motor for rotating a Friction Stir Welding tool and is coupled to a drive mechanism for urging the crawler along a predefined weld path on work pieces. The crawler can comprise one member or a set of two or three physically separated members each rotatably coupled to the friction stir welding tool. The friction stir welding tool for making the weld is rotatably coupled to each member and restricts axial displacement of the physically separate members relative to each other.
