A fabric having one or more guides attached to a wear surface of the fabric so to encapsulate fifty percent or more of the fabric caliper. Advantageously, the encapsulation of the fabric by the guide, and not the chemical affinity of the materials, is the mechanism that attaches the guide and fabric. Consequently, the bond strength is equal to the tear strength of either the fabric or guide material alone.

The invention relates to an industrial fabric having means for seaming a fabric to form an endless loop and a plurality of non-continuous wear beads formed on the fabric proximally to a seam formed in the fabric which prevent wear to the components of the seam.

Staggered, discontinuous wear protection for seams

A belt suitable in a brownstock washer machine and a method of producing the same are provide. The belt is produced from a high-density multi-layer woven fabric, which is preferably made using an eight-shed weave pattern. The fabric provides high fiber support via a high warp-density/long-warp-float while achieving high drainage/resistance-to-sealing through increased void volume.
