A cassette having a leader and recordable tape which cleans the various components of the tape path in videocassette recorders by dry scrubbing. Interactive diagnostic and instructional material is recorded on the tape to instruct the operator about the cleaning operation to enable the operator to evaluate progress of the head cleaning operation, and to program the maintenance protocol of head cleaning cycles relative to capstan cleaning cycles.

Tape cassette for cleaning VCR heads and transport components

A stocking rod for assisting in the stocking of peggable packages onto support pegs for display and sale supports a number of packages, and has a tip portion that can be stabilized against the support peg. When the tip portion of the rod is stabilized, the packages can be slid from the rod onto the peg for display. The rod can be straight or provided with an angled tip portion so that it can easily be aligned with a variety of peg configurations.

Hand held transfer tool for stocking display pegs or hooks

A wall mounted bracket assembly adapted to serve as a hanger for a plurality of video cassette storage and shipping boxes and/or video cassettes. The bracket assembly includes a channel including a lip over which a hook portion on each of the storage and shipping boxes may be engaged; and a cassette adapter which may be releasably engaged with the channel and has a finger portion adapted to engage an opening in a video cassette to hang the video cassette from the bracket assembly.

Magnetic heads of color video tape recorder (vtr) machines are cleaned without harmful abrasion by means of a novel magnetic head cleaning tape carrying a color bar signal. Abrupt appearance of the color bar test pattern at the video monitor permits cessation of the cleaning operation immediately upon complete removal of foreign matter and without harmful abrasion of the heads.
