A catalytic wall-flow filter for exhaust gas from a gasoline engine is disclosed. The catalytic wall-flow filter comprises a wall-flow filter substrate having porous walls and a first face and a second face defining a longitudinal direction therebetween and first and second pluralities of channels extending in the longitudinal direction. The first plurality of channels is open at the first face and closed at the second face, and the second plurality of channels is open at the second face and closed at the first face. The filter comprises a first TWC coating comprising a first PGM composition, a first oxygen storage capacity (OSC) material, and a first inorganic support; and a second TWC coating comprising a second PGM composition, a second OSC material, and a second inorganic support.

Catalytic wall flow filter

A method of forming an inorganic oxide coating on a monolith article to produce a coated monolith article suitable for the treatment of an exhaust gas comprises spraying, as a dry particulate aerosol, inorganic particles and a silicone resin to form a coating layer. The present invention also provides an uncalcined porous monolith article for use in forming a monolith article for the treatment of an exhaust gas. The uncalcined monolith article comprises a dry particulate composition comprising inorganic particles and a silicone resin.

Method of forming an inorganic oxide coating on a monolith article

A vehicular exhaust filter comprising a porous substrate having an inlet face and an outlet face with the porous substrate comprising inlet channels extending from the inlet face and outlet channels extending from the outlet face is disclosed. The inlet channels and the outlet channels are separated by a plurality of filter walls having a porous structure. The vehicular exhaust filter is loaded with a refractory powder having a tapped density before loading of less than 0.10 g/cmand the vehicular exhaust filter has a mass loading of the refractory powder of less than 10 g/l.
