A process for continuous preparation of halogenated alkoxyethane of general formula XClHC—CFOR, where X is —Cl or -f and OR is Calkoxy, the process comprising a step of introducing in a flow reactor reaction components comprising (i) a compound of general formula XClHC—CYF, where each of X and Y is independently —Cl or —F, (ii) a base, and (iii) a Calkanol, wherein a) the flow reactor comprises one or more tubular flow line(s) through which the reaction components flow as a reaction mixture, c) the halogenated alkoxyethane is formed at least upon the reaction components mixing, with the so formed halogenated alkoxyethane flowing out of the flow reactor in a reactor effluent, and b) the base is one that forms a salt soluble in the alkanol during formation of the halogenated alkoxyethane.

The present disclosure relates to catalytic static mixers comprising catalytic material. The static mixers can be configured for use with continuous flow chemical reactors, for example tubular continuous flow chemical reactors for heterogeneous catalysis reactions. This disclosure also relates to processes for preparing static mixers. This disclosure also relates to continuous flow chemical reactors comprising the static mixers, systems comprising the continuous flow chemical reactors, processes for synthesising products using the continuous flow reactors, and methods for screening catalytic materials using the static mixers.

Static mixers for continuous flow catalytic reactors

The present disclosure relates to a continuous flow process for preparing conducting polymers, for example polyaniline. The continuous flow process can provide a controlled synthesis of a conducting polymer from an emulsion comprising a polymerizable organic monomer and a free radical initiator in flow within a temperature controlled continuous flow reactor comprising at least one mixing element. The present disclosure also relates to the conducting polymers prepared by the continuous flow process.
