A system coordinates with remote hardware to execute customer workloads. The system uses an architecture for ensuring trust to ensure that debugging is not performed at the remote hardware while the customer workload is being executed on the remote hardware without customer consent. For example, debugging at the remote hardware may enable an entity performing the debugging to view certain aspects of the customer's workload. The architecture for ensuring trusts uses a shared secret to ensure customer consent is given before debugging can be performed while the customer's workload is being executed on the remote hardware.

A quantum computing service includes connections to one or more quantum hardware providers that are configured to execute quantum circuits using quantum computers based on one or more quantum technologies. The quantum computing service also includes at least one edge computing device located adjacent to a quantum computer at one of the quantum hardware provider facilities. The edge computing device is configured to execute classical computing portions of a hybrid algorithm in coordination with the quantum computer, which executes quantum computing portions of the hybrid algorithm. Results of the execution of the hybrid algorithm are automatically stored to a data storage service accessible to the customer.

A shippable data transfer device includes a data storage medium encased in a chamber surrounded by an anti-tamper casing. The anti-tamper casing includes an anti-tamper layer with identifying elements arranged in a unique or otherwise identifiable pattern. The anti-tamper layer is configured to actively re-arrange, alter, or obscure the identifying elements in response to a breach of the anti-tamper casing.

The ability to submit and execute secured commands on a device is controlled using an interface authenticator. The interface authenticator includes a processor and physical memory that stores key material. When the interface authenticator is connected to the device the device communicates with the interface authenticator to cryptographically verify that the interface authenticator is valid. If the interface authenticator is valid, the device allows controlled commands to be received. In some examples, the controlled commands are obtained via a sideband data channel pass-through access and executed on a management controller within the device. In some examples, as a result of determining that the interface authenticator is valid, a sideband data channel pass-through access is enabled over which both privileged and uncontrolled commands may be received.
