A medical system includes a source of a material, a first tube, and a second tube. The material is configured to expand and form a porous body after the material is deployed into a body lumen. The first tube is configured to deliver the material into the body lumen, and the second tube is configured to apply suction to the porous body.

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices and medical device delivery. In particular, the present disclosure relates to medical devices, systems, and methods for delivering a barrier device within a body lumen of a patient, such as the GI tract. For example, a barrier device may include a distal self-expanding stent. A tubular barrier may have a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therethrough. The distal stent may be disposed at the distal end of the tubular barrier. An anchoring self-expanding stent may be disposed at the proximal end of the tubular barrier.

Barrier devices, systems, and methods

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices and establishing access to body passageways. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods to facilitate entry of an endoscopic accessory tool into and/or through patient-specific anatomies. For example, the devices, systems and methods of the present disclosure may transmit mechanical motion to the distal end of an endoscopic accessory tool to facilitate atraumatic access to tortuous or otherwise restricted anatomies.

Devices, systems and methods for transmitting motion to the distal tip of an endoscopic accessory tool

An implantable device having an adjustable passage therethrough. The passage may be adjustable to occlude or otherwise to regulate access or flow of materials therethrough. An elongated element may be inserted into the passage when in a closed configuration to selectively open the passage. For instance, the implantable device may be a tubular device with a twisted region closing the passage therethrough, and the elongated device may be configured to engage such twisted region and to be rotated to untwist the closed region. An additional tubular device with a passage therethrough may be inserted into the passage of the implantable device to hold open the passage for a selected period of time.

Devices, systems, and methods for adjusting a passage through an implantable device

A medical dispensing device which includes a catheter, an applicator tip at a distal end of the catheter, the catheter and the applicator tip defining a lumen having a longitudinal axis and a distal opening, a plunger in the lumen and movable along the longitudinal axis, and a plurality of elements in the lumen proximal to the distal opening and distal to the plunger, the plurality of elements stacked along the longitudinal axis for dispersement of one element at a time through the distal opening via a force applied by the plunger.

This disclosure relates generally to the field of devices and procedures for forming an opening between adjacent tissue structures. For example, in an embodiment, a system for forming an opening between body lumens may include a delivery catheter. A first access element may be configured to be positioned against a first body lumen disposed about a distal end of the catheter. A second access element having an outer diameter that substantially matches an outer diameter of the first access element may be disposed about the distal end of the catheter. The second access element may be configured to be positioned against a second body lumen and axially aligned with the first access element. A filament may be electrically coupled to one or both of the first and second access element.

Devices, systems, and methods for forming an opening between body lumens

A device for fluidizing and delivering a powdered agent, including a canister extending longitudinally from a first to a second end and defining a space within which a powdered agent is received, an inlet coupleable to a gas source for supplying gas to the space to fluidize the powdered agent to create a fluidized mixture, an outlet via which the gas mixture is delivered to a target area, a tube extending from the outlet into the interior space, the tube including a slot extending through a wall thereof so that gas mixture is passable from the interior space through the outlet via the second end and the slot, and a door movably coupled to the tube so that the door is movable over the slot to control a size of the slot open to the interior space of the canister.

Fluidization devices and methods of use

An access needle includes a hollow shaft having a lumen sized and shaped to slidably receive a guidewire therein and having a distal end including an angled surface extending proximally and transversely from a sharpened distal-most tip of the shaft to a beveled smoothed area of the shaft proximal and transverse to the sharpened tip. The beveled smoothed area is positioned to slidably engage a guidewire extended distally out the distal end of the needle so that, as the guidewire is retracted proximally into the needle, the beveled smoothed area slidably engages the guidewire to minimize abrasion to the guidewire.

This disclosure relates generally to medical devices, systems, and methods for locating devices and/or anatomy during medical procedures. More particularly, in some embodiments, the disclosure relates to medical device and/or anatomy locating devices, access devices, and systems and methods thereof, for use during, e.g., gastrojejunostomy procedures. In an aspect, a medical device locator may include an elongate member (such as sheath or guidewire) having a proximal end, a distal end, a longitudinal axis, and a length extending along the longitudinal axis. A bipolar ablation device for treatment of a stenosis within an implanted metallic stent may include an elongate shaft slidably disposable within an endoscope, the elongate shaft including at least one electrode configured to form a first pole of the bipolar ablation device, and an electrode lead slidably disposable within the endoscope. The electrode lead may be configured to electrically engage the implanted metallic stent to form a second pole of the bipolar ablation device. The elongate shaft may be positionable within a lumen of the implanted metallic stent.

Devices and methods for inducing ablation in or around occluded implants

The present disclosure pertains to medical devices. More particularly, the present disclosure pertains to devices, systems, and methods for closing a wound, such as a tissue defect resulting from an endoscopic mucosal resection or endoscopic submucosal dissection procedure. In one example, a device for closing a wound may include a closure element having a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration, the closure element configured to be disposed about an endcap of an endoscope in a delivery configuration. A release filament may have a distal end releasably coupled to the closure element and a proximal end extendable within the endcap. The closure element may be configured to substantially close about the wound in the deployed configuration.

Devices, systems, and methods for closing a wound

A medical system includes a porous body positioned at a target site within a subject, a tube including a wall defining a tube lumen, where the tube is connected to the porous body at a first end of the tube, and a sealing device to seal the target site from a body lumen. When the sealing device seals the target site from the body lumen, the tube extends from the target site into the body lumen.

Endoluminal sealing devices and related methods of use

The present disclosure pertains to medical devices. More particularly, the present disclosure pertains to devices, systems, and methods for securing tissue, such as a tissue defect or wound resulting from an endoscopic procedure, e.g., an endoscopic mucosal resection or submucosal dissection procedure. In one example, a device for securing tissue may include a loop portion configured to be disposed about a distal end of a delivery device in a delivery configuration and configured to be secured about the tissue in a deployed configuration. A locking member may be disposed on the loop portion. A tether portion having a proximal end extendable proximally within the delivery device and a distal portion extending from the loop portion slidably through the locking member.

Devices, systems, and methods for securing tissue

A medical device may include a handle and a flexible sheath extending from the handle. The sheath may include a first chamber configured to receive a first agent and a second chamber configured to receive a second agent. Each of the first chamber and the second chamber may be disposed in a distal portion of the sheath. The sheath may also include a first piston received within the first chamber and a second piston received within the second chamber and at least one actuation element configured to transmit a force from the handle to each of the first piston and the second piston. In a first configuration, the first agent may be maintained within the first chamber and the second agent is maintained within the second chamber. In a second configuration, the first agent may be released from the first chamber to mix with the second agent.

Agent delivery devices

A medical device may comprise a flexible sheath defining a lumen extending from a proximal end of the sheath to a distal end of the sheath. The sheath may include a piston slidably received within the lumen; an agent disposed in the lumen distal to the piston; and pneumatic fluid disposed in the lumen proximal of the piston. The device may also comprise handle at a proximal end of the sheath, the handle including: a plunger received in a reservoir, wherein the reservoir is in fluid communication with the lumen. The reservoir may contain pneumatic fluid. The handle may also include a gear. An amount of rotation of the gear in a first direction may correspond to an amount that the plunger advances distally in the reservoir to displace pneumatic fluid. The displacement of the pneumatic fluid may advance the piston distally to deliver an amount of agent from the sheath.
