Methods and systems are provided for mapping content from a first or starting template to a second or target template. An analysis is performed of any content objects and content placeholders contained in the starting and target templates. One or more potential content mappings are generated for potentially mapping content objects from the starting template to the target template. An optimal mapping is selected from the potential mappings, and content objects from the starting template are mapped to the target template according to the selected optimal mapping.

Method and system for mapping content between a starting template and a target template

A method and system for pointing a Internet user requesting access to content on a particular web site to one of a plurality of content servers associated with that web site based on one or more cost measurements associated with serving said content. The identification of the web site is mapped to the content servers associated with that web site. The user's IP address is then mapped to a particular content server based on a cost function and the IP address of the selected content server is provided to the user.

Method and system for directing requests for content to a content server based on network performance

A distributed network management system and method of operation. The system includes at least one hub server and at least one remote server, where the hub server and the remote server communicate with each other. The remote server additionally communicates with and monitors one or more network devices. In the event that the remote server becomes inoperational, the hub server assumes monitoring of the network device. For redundancy, primary and secondary hub servers can be provided, wherein the primary and secondary hub servers communicate with each other and are capable of communicating with the remote server. For further redundancy, primary and secondary remote servers can be provided, wherein the primary and secondary remote servers communicate with each other but independently monitor the network devices. In the peered remote configuration, the hub server is capable of communicating with either of the remote servers. Where both the hub servers and the remote servers are peered, each hub server is capable of communicating with each remote server.

Distributed network management system and method

Methods and systems are provided for generating colorized previews of selected document templates. Upon selection of a desired color scheme, each document template represented by a collection of displayed document template previews is colorized according to a user-selected color scheme to provide the user with a preview of the collection of document templates colorized according to the user's desired color scheme prior to selection of one of the displayed templates for actual use. The colorized document templates are converted to bitmap format and are displayed to the user to allow the user to select a particular template colorized according to the user's selected color scheme.

The techniques and mechanisms described herein are directed to a method for dynamically creating a destination template based on content within a source document. The destination template may be published in a variety of mediums including as a body of an email message, a web site, and a print-friendly document. A portion of content objects within the source document are grouped into content objects based on a relationship between the content objects, such as a physical relationship, a functional relationship, or a combination of both. For each content block, one of several module templates is dynamically selected and arranged to create the destination template. The module templates may be stretchable and designed to render in an email client using HTML.

System and method for dynamically creating a destination template

A Private Network Access Point (PNAP) packet switched network is provided where two customers connected to the same PNAP exchange traffic through the PNAP without transiting over the backbones of the Internet. In addition, a multi-homed customer connected to the PNAP is provided with access to the PNAP optimized routing table so that the customer will also have the ability to know the best route for a particular destination. In this way, if a multi-homed customer connected to a particular National Service Provider (NSP) to which a destination is also connected, the PNAP customer can use the PNAP information regarding the NSP to send the information to the destination through that commonly connected NSP in the most direct fashion.

A dual powered fiber optic sight for a gun, which can be illuminated either by ambient light or by a light source. The light source is preferably a light-emitting diode (LED). Ambient light and light from the LED are carried by a fiber optic rod and the rod appears as a bright dot on the front sight of the gun. The electronics are enclosed and protected from the environment by a water-proof adhesive. The end of the fiber optic rod may be cut at a 45 degree angle to increase the rod's light-gathering ability.

An optional rear sight also receives light from the ambient light or from the light source.

A mixing apparatus for use in mixing liquids such as paints or oil base stains wherein the mixing apparatus consists of a plurality of inwardly extending perimeter baffles and upwardly extending inner baffles to obstruct the free flow of liquid during the rotation of the container and, in the preferred embodiment, the baffles are molded as an integral part of the liquid container to provide a convenient container wherein the liquid may be mixed by merely rotating the container.
