An electronic monitoring system for secure image code generation and a method of activating devices in the electronic monitoring system via the secure image codes are provided. The electronic monitoring system includes a base station in communication with a monitoring device. The monitoring device includes a camera to obtain images of a monitored area. A controller for the electronic monitoring system receives a request for a desired interaction with the electronic monitoring system from a first device and generates multiple image codes corresponding to the desired interaction. The controller transmits the image codes to a mobile device and then receives each of the image codes from the camera when the image codes are displayed on the mobile device while the mobile device is positioned in front of the camera. The controller activates the desired interaction with the electronic monitoring system responsive to receiving the image codes from the camera.

Dynamic image based contactless instructions for an electronic monitoring system

An electronic monitoring system has one or more imaging devices that can detect at least one triggering event comprising sound and motion and a controller that executes a program to categorize the triggering event as being located in a user-defined activity zone within the field of view and/or as being a taxonomic-based triggering event. Upon categorizing the triggering event, the system generates an output comprising a video component and an audio component. At least a portion of the audio component is modified if the triggering event is a categorized triggering event. Modification of the audio may include muting all or a portion of the audio component of the output.

In one aspect, a frame rate can be lowered to no less than a minimum frame rate, a resolution can be lowered to no less than a minimum resolution, and the frame rate and resolution can be lowered to the minimum frame rate and the minimum resolution, respectively, before allowing an increase of compression of the video stream in view of the change in video transmission requirements and/or network demands. This allows sustaining image quality suitable for security and surveillance.

The internet-based content platform determines whether the selected media item is a free item or a paid item. Anti-theft locking device for securing a wheel medallion having a grease cap well to the wheel of a vehicle. The device is utilized with a conventional wheel medallion of the type having spring retainers that protrude from the body of the medallion and extend into an opening and into a recess in the hub of the wheel. Further, the spring retainers have clips that are configured to pass into the opening and abut the recess of the wheel. A medallion locking cup is provided that is smaller than the medallion well and which is configured to fit therein. The cup has spring retainer openings to allow the clips to flex for mounting and removing the medallion and cup onto the wheel. The cup has an abutting wall portion adjacent the spring retaining opening and the cup is rotated from inside the wheel to lock the medallion and cup onto the wheel with the abutting wall portions abutting the clips.
