A filter monitor system ('FMS') module is installed on the engine/vehicle and is connected to the filter systems, sensors and devices to monitor various performance parameters. The module also connects to the engine control module (“ECM”) and draws parameters from the ECM. The FMS module is capable of interfacing with various output devices such as a smartphone application, a display monitor, an OEM telematics system or a service technician's tool on a computer. The FMS module consists of hardware and software algorithms which constantly monitor filter systems and provide information to the end-user. FMS module provides necessary inputs and outputs for electronic sensors and devices.

Electronic filter detection feature for liquid filtration systems

A process, system, and component configuration are described that discourages customer acceptance/use of will-fit, reconditioned, and counterfeit product components, by determining whether or not a serviceable product component is genuine. If a component is determined to not be genuine, then appropriate action may be taken to warn operators and document such findings. For example, one or more markers are disposed or otherwise put on the subject serviceable product component and serves as a targeted feature, and/or a particular characteristic of the filter itself is identified as the targeted feature. A sensor is used to detect the targeted feature and obtain information unique to the serviceable product component. The targeted feature(s) identifies the particular serviceable component as genuine and forms the basis for determining whether a genuine component has been installed. In some circumstances, a fluid filter product is the component that is the subject detection.

Apparatus, system and method for detecting the presence of genuine serviceable product components

A pump component is removed from a port of a suction-side fluid cavity of a high-pressure fluid pump. The pump component performs a pump function for the high-pressure fluid pump. A primary coupler connects to the port. The pump component connects to the primary coupler. A diverter fluid passage diverts a low-pressure fluid from the primary coupler to an auxiliary fluid delivery system. The primary coupler communicates the low-pressure fluid through the pump component and primary coupler to the port.

Apparatus, system, and method for diverting fluid

A system includes an internal combustion engine receiving intake air from an intake manifold and providing exhaust gases to an exhaust manifold. The system further includes an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) conduit fluidly coupling the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold. The system includes a conical spring check valve disposed in the EGR conduit, the conical spring check valve having a helically wound spring including a number of turns of decreasing diameter, where each turn progresses axially in a normal flow direction of the EGR from a previous one of the turns. Each of the turns further overlaps a previous one of the turns.

An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for delivering a dosant with engine exhaust. The apparatus includes a flow-rate regulator disposed downstream from an engine exhaust manifold that operates to control a fraction of exhaust from the engine exhaust manifold. The apparatus also includes a doser disposed downstream of the flow-rate regulator that provisions a supply of dosant to the path of the controlled fraction of exhaust, which atomizes, vaporizes, disperses, mixes with, and/or delivers the dosant.

An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for intermittently delivering fluid. An injector intermittently delivers a first quantity of fluid over a first time interval. In one embodiment, the injector is passively cooled. In a certain embodiment, the injector delivers the first quantity of fluid responsive to a fluid flow measurement of a flow meter. An orifice diverts the first quantity of fluid from a primary fluid supply system over a second time interval without decreasing the supply of fluid to a primary load within a flow rate range while the fluid pressure remains within a pressure range. An accumulator accumulates at the least the first quantity of fluid as a fluid charge with positive energy.

Apparatus, system, and method for intermittently delivering fluid

A system for estimating a quantity of parasitic leakage of a fluid from a fluid collection unit includes a pressure sensor and a control circuit. The pressure sensor is coupled to the fluid collection unit and configured to produce a pressure value indicative of the pressure of the fluid collection unit. The control circuit is operable to determine a change in pressure value of the fluid collection unit and estimate the quantity of parasitic leakage based on the change in pressure value. The control circuit may also be operable to determine a bulk modulus value of the fluid and estimate the quantity of parasitic leakage based on the change in pressure value and the bulk modulus value.
