A system for delivery of ultra-low radio frequency energy to an individual to assist the individual to remain, or become, alert, awake, or focused includes at least one delivery coil and a delivery device that includes at least one memory; at least one data file configured for producing signals derived from measurements of at least one molecule; and at least one processor coupled to the at least one memory and the at least one delivery coil. The at least one processor is configured to perform actions that include directing generation of the signals using the at least one data file and directing delivery of the signals to the at least one delivery coil to produce the ultra-low radio frequency energy.

Systems and methods to keep drivers, pilots, or others alert or focused by electromagnetic delivery of signals

A time-multiplexed dual atomic magnetometer includes first and second vapor cells such that an external magnetic field induces Larmor precession of atoms within the vapor cells. The magnetometer includes first and second polarimeters for measuring first and second polarizations of first and second probe beams that propagate through the first and second vapor cells, respectively. The magnetometer includes a controller that gates the probe beams such that (i) the first probe beam propagates through the first vapor cell during a first measurement stage, (ii) the second probe beam does not propagate through the second vapor cell during the first measurement stage, (iii) the second probe beam propagates through the second vapor cell during a second measurement stage that begins when the first measurement stage ends, and (iv) the first probe beam does not propagate through the first vapor cell during the second measurement stage.

System and method for time-multiplexed dual atomic magnetometry

Time-multiplexed atomic magnetometry uses first and second atomic vapor cells to measure an external magnetic field. Each vapor cell operates according to a sequence of alternating pumping and probing stages. However, the sequences are temporally offset from each other such that the second vapor cell is pumped while the first vapor cell is probed, and the first vapor cell is pumped while the second vapor cell is probed. With this time-multiplexed operation, the external magnetic field can be measured without any time gaps. The Hilbert transform of the signals may be taken to obtain their instantaneous phases, which may then be interleaved to form a single gapless time sequence that represents the external magnetic field over a time window that lasts for several continuous pumping/probing stages.

Time-multiplexed dual atomic magnetometry

A measurement system includes a container configured to contain a solvated target molecule and at least one magnetoresistive (MR) sensor device including at least one MR sensor disposed near the container and configured to measure a magnetic field generated by the solvated target molecule, each of the at least one MR sensor including a pin layer having a pinned direction of magnetization, a free layer having a direction of magnetization that varies with an applied magnetic field, and a non-conductive layer separating the pin layer and the free layer.

A method and apparatus for producing an effect of a chemical or biochemical agent on a system responsive to such agent, are disclosed. In practicing the method, a plurality of low-frequency time-domain signals of the agent are generated, each at a different at a different noise level within a selected noise level range. The signals are analyzed by producing spectral plots of the time-domain signals, and identifying an optimized agent-specific time-domain signal based on information in the spectral plots. A chemical or biological system responsive to the agent is exposed to the optimized time-domain signal by placing the system within the magnetic field of an electromagnetic transducer, and applying the signal to the transducer at a signal amplitude and for a period sufficient to produce in the system an agent-specific effect on the system.

System and method for collecting, storing, processing, transmitting and presenting very low amplitude signals

A method and apparatus for interrogating a sample that exhibits molecular rotation are disclosed. In practicing the method, the sample is placed in a container having both magnetic and electromagnetic shielding, and Gaussian noise is injected into the sample. An electromagnetic time-domain signal composed of sample source radiation superimposed on the injected Guassian noise is detected, and this signal is cross-correlated with a second time-domain signal produced by the same or similar sample, to produce a cross-correlated signal with frequency domain components. The latter is plotted in the frequency domain by a fast Fourier transform to produce a frequency domain spectrum in a frequency range within DC to 50 KHz. From this spectrum, one or more low-frequency signal components that are characteristic of the sample being interrogated are identified.

System and method for characterizing a sample by low-frequency spectra

An apparatus and method for the repeatable detection and recording of low-threshold molecular electromagnetic signals. The sample material and detection apparatus are contained with a magnetically shielded faraday cage to shield them from extraneous electromagnetic signals. The detection apparatus includes a detection coil and Super Conducting Quantum Interference Device (&ldquo;SQUID&rdquo;). White noise is injected external to the SQUID and the signals emitted by the sample material enhanced by stochastic resonance.

A safety mechanism for rifles and shot guns in which hammer movement to strike the firing pin is prevented unless the trigger is pulled, thereby precluding inadvertent discharge. The safety mechanism is retrofittable into the population of rifles and shotguns utilizing the Remington Common Fire Control System (RCFCS) and with suitable dimensional adaptation into others, and includes an interceptor designed to engage the hammer and prevent movement thereof if the sear and hammer should become disengaged for any reason other than manipulation of the trigger.
