A method for translating geodetic position measurements of emergency caller locations into dispatchable address locations that includes transmitting a geodetic location of a mobile communication device that is being used by a caller in a building to a public safety answering point, providing a building data store that includes a civic address for the building, latitude and longitude coordinates defining a 2-dimensional footprint of the building and vertical information about the building, using the building data store to convert the geodetic location to the civic address and transmitting the civic address of the mobile communication device to the public safety answering point.

System and method for translating geodetic position measurements of emergency caller locations into dispatchable address locations

A method of large-scale automated indoor map data georeferencing. A building floorplan is received in a digital format. A non-georeferenced vector polygon building footprint is extracted from the building floorplan. A plurality of georeferenced vector polygons representing individual building footprints in a selected area is provided. The non-georeferenced vector polygon building footprint is compared to identify a matching georeferenced building footprint polygon. The building floorplan is rasterized and clipped to the extent of the building footprint polygon to form a clipped floorplan raster. Real-world geographic coordinates of the matched georeferenced vector polygon are applied to the clipped floorplan raster to form the georeferenced indoor map data.

System and methods for large-scale automated indoor map data georeferencing

A computer implemented method for three-dimensional volumetric indoor location geocoding relative to a geographic location is provided. The method includes: creating a three-dimensional representation of the geographic location; notionally subdividing the three-dimensional representation into an array of discrete elements; receiving an address and converting the address into geographic coordinates; querying the array of discrete elements representing the geographic location; determining a list of all discrete elements with at least one of a matching address and sub-address element attribute; generating a notional minimum bounding three-dimensional polygon containing the matched discrete elements with the at least one matched address and matched sub-address element attribute; determining a list of geodetic coordinates defining the minimum bounding three-dimensional polygon; and presenting the list of geodetic coordinates defining the minimum bounding three-dimensional polygon.

System and methods for three-dimensional volumetric indoor location geocoding

A code generator can receive a data object from a legacy network gateway location interwork function (LNG-LIF) for an emergency services call initiated by an end-user device, wherein the data object includes location information in a legacy format. The code generator can select fields of the location information for the emergency services call. The code generator can convert data object in the legacy format into a presence information data format location object (PIDF-LO) based on the selected fields of the location information in the data object for the emergency services call. The PIDF-LO embeds location information for the end-user device. Additionally, the code generator can send the PIDF-LO to the LNG-LIF, wherein the PIDF-LO is a format consumable by an Emergency Call Routing Function (ECRF).
