A linear light fixture can include a tray and an optical device, where the tray includes a circuit board receiving section, first and second tray side sections, and a retention feature, where the first and second tray side sections include an optical device receiving feature. The optical device can include an optical section, first and second optical device side sections, and a complementary retention feature, where the first and second optical device side sections include a tray mating feature that is configured to be disposed within the optical device receiving feature, where the retention feature and the complementary retention feature are disengaged when the tray mating feature is being received by the optical device receiving feature, and where the retention feature and the complementary retention feature are engaged after the tray mating feature is received by the optical device receiving feature to fixedly secure the optical device to the tray.

Optical device attachment systems for linear light fixtures

A lighting system includes a linear luminaire having a length and a width, where the length is longer than the width. Further, the lighting system includes at least two rigid pendants that are configured to suspension mount the linear luminaire from a mounting surface. Each rigid pendant is coupled to the linear luminaire via a clevis such that a joint between the rigid pendants and the linear luminaire is a clevis swivel joint that allows the linear luminaire to swing along the length to meet a seismic requirement while preventing a tilting of the linear luminaire along the width.

A linear light fixture can include a housing that includes at least one wall that forms a cavity. The linear light fixture can also a light board having multiple light sources disposed thereon, where the light sources are arranged in a linear fashion with respect to each other on the light board, where the light board is disposed within the cavity of the housing. The linear light fixture can further include a lens slidably disposed within a receiving feature of the housing. The linear light fixture can also include a first auxiliary optical member disposed within cavity of the housing, where the first auxiliary optical member includes a first body having a first end and a second end, where the first body includes a light diffusion film. The first auxiliary optical member can fill a first gap between the lens and a first side wall of the housing.
