There is disclosed a method of operating a receiving radio node in a wireless communication network. The method includes communicating utilising data signaling according to a signaling structure, the signaling structure including a signaling time interval covering a plurality of subsequent allocation units, wherein to each of the allocation units of the signaling time interval, there is associated reference signaling, or a part of one of one or more data blocks, wherein to two allocation units separated by a separation interval there is associated reference signaling. The UL transmit power is determined from the power-control procedure associated with the active BPL scheduled for transmission.

Methods and arrangements for supporting beam management in a wireless communication network

According to certain embodiments, a method by a radio node () operating in multiple modes for power detection includes operating in a first mode. While operating in the first mode power levels of transmissions on a channel are compared to a first threshold to determine whether the channel is free. While operating the radio node () in the first mode, power levels within a specified range are detected during a first time period. In response to detecting the power levels within the specified range during the first time period, the radio node () is switched to a second mode that is a duty-cycle mode. While operating the radio node () in the second mode, the power levels of the transmissions on the channel are compared to a second threshold during a first portion of a duty cycle and to a third threshold during a second portion of the duty cycle to determine whether the channel is free. The third threshold is different from the second threshold. In response to determining that the channel is free, transmission is initiated on the channel.

System and method for energy detection with adaptive-threshold duty cycling for unlicensed band operations

A network node (), a wireless terminal () and methods therein, for supporting beam tracking in the wireless terminal () when a selected network beam (B) and a selected terminal beam (T) are used. The network node () identifies a set of candidate network beams (B) having spatial characteristics similar to the selected network beam (B), and signals the candidate network beams to the wireless terminal (). A Network Node (NN)and a method therein for beam selection. When an upcoming ability to serve a Wireless Device (WD)using a current NN beam is predicted to be lost based on historic data, the NN selects an upcoming NN beam out of one or more candidate NN beams that are able to serve the WD when the NN has lost ability to serve the WD using the current NN beam. The NN configures a dedicated Beam Reference Signal (BRS) for the upcoming NN beam, which is to be detected in beam selection by the WD when the NN loses ability to serve the wireless device using the current NN beam. By means of the current NN beam, the NN transmits, to the WD, a configuration of the dedicated BRS. Further, by means of the upcoming NN beam, the NN transmits, to the WD, the dedicated BRS.

A method by a user equipment is disclosed for decoding data from a network node in a telecommunications system. The method includes determining whether a discovery signal was received from the network node by detecting of another signal received from the network node, which may be a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS) and/or a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS). Based on detecting that the another signal was received, the method includes determining whether a grant is present based on processing an Evolved Physical Downlink Control CHannel, ePDCCH. Listen-before-talk for discovery signal in license-assisted access LTE

Methods by network nodes and related network nodes are disclosed for configuring a user equipment (UE) in a telecommunications system. The UE is configured with a Channel-State Information (CSI) measurement resource with subframe-less configuration. A grant is sent on Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel ((e)PDCCH) for the UE with a Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI_CSI) including specification of subframe configuration of CSI-measurement resources. A CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) is sent according to a desired scheme in subframes indicated by the subframe configuration. Corresponding methods by UEs and related UEs are also disclosed.

Channel-state information reference symbol scheduling in license-assisted access LTE

The present disclosure relates to a method and a serving radio base station (RBS) for link adaptation (LA) of PDCCH. The method includes obtaining information about a reduced power subframe (RPS) pattern used by a neighboring RBS. An indication of a reception quality of the PDCCH at a user equipment (UE) is obtained. A determination is made whether the obtained indication relates to an RPS or a non-RPS according to the obtained information. A first LA loop for a PDCCH to the first UE is controlled. The first LA loop relates to non-RPS. A second LA loop for the PDCCH to the UE is controlled. The second LA loop relates to RPS. At least one of the first and second LA algorithms, depending on the determining, is controlled based on the obtained indication of a reception quality.
