An eye movement desensitization and reprocessing treatment system comprises an apparatus designed for the remote administration of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy via an internet connection. The eye movement desensitization and reprocessing treatment system enables a therapist to remotely present a patient with a plurality of varying visual, audible, and tactile stimuli. The eye movement desensitization and reprocessing treatment system utilizes a pair of visual goggles with two layers of glass or glass-like material, which displays a visual image for the patient to follow with their eyes. A camera system provides a visual feed of the patient's face on the therapist's goggles. The frame of the visual screen comprises an array of LED lights that provide simulated sequential movement Over the ear noise cancelling headphones are also provided. A pair of vibration units are configured to be held in the patient's left and right hand and are synchronized with the apparent motion of the LED lights. The device is battery operated and interfaces via Bluetooth&#xae; with an internet enabled electronic device.

A drive apparatus for use with a dynamoelectric machine system includes drive means connected to the dynamoelectric machine to control at least one of the current or voltage of the machine and a processor including a microcontroller for supplying machine control information to the drive means. A plurality of switches are connected to the processor and art positionable in a plurality of switch settings. Preselected switch settings correspond to operating characteristic information associated with corresponding versions of a given appliance, such that a user positions the switches in a desired switch setting to select the corresponding version of the given appliance. The microcontroller is programmed to read the switch setting and in response thereto, obtain the system operating characteristic information corresponding to the selected version of the given appliance from said second memory so as to permit the system to be used in different versions of the given appliance.

The present invention concerns a method and device for detecting an imbalance condition in a rotating washing machine tub. An indication of a power level required to maintain a given washing machine rotation speed is compared to a predefined standard power level associated with the given rotation speed, and a tub imbalance condition is detected in response to the comparison. The predefined standard power level may be stored in a memory device accessible by a processor that is programmed to calculate the power level required to achieve the given washing machine rotation speed and compare the required power level to the predefined standard power level to detect the tub imbalance condition.

Method and apparatus for detecting washing machine tub imbalance

A system and method for controlling the rotation speed of a washing machine tub includes receiving an indication of the actual tub rotation speed and comparing the actual tub rotation speed to a set point speed to calculate a speed error. One or more gain factors are applied to the speed error to calculate a correction factor. Adaptive gain control is used, wherein the gain factors are adjusted in response to system parameters, including the actual or desired tub rotation speed, speed error, average torque demand, average power, etc.

Washing machine tub speed control method and apparatus

Air handling apparatus (10) for delivering a volume of air at a generally constant flow rate regardless of changes in the operating conditions of a system with which the apparatus is used. A blower (12) pushes air from one point to another. The blower is operated by a blower motor (14). A switch (16) controls application of power to the motor. Sensors (20) are used to sense the voltage supplied to the motor, the current drawn by the motor, and the motor's operating speed. A flow controller (22) establishes a desired air flow rate to be provided by the blower. A processor (18) is responsive to the sensed voltage (V), current (I), and speed (S), an input (C) from the flow controller, and constants (K1-K4) related to performance characteristics of the blower to determine a torque required by the motor to produce a predetermined air flow rate. The torque value is determined as a function of the combined motor speed input from the sensor and an input from the flow controller. The processor is responsive to a calculated torque value for the motor. The processor supplies a control signal to the switch to control application of a voltage to the motor. This voltage is sufficient for the motor to produce the calculated torque. The processor includes feedback (28) by which the control signal can be modified first in response to the sensed current drawn by the motor; and additionally, by the voltage supplied to the motor.

Constant air flow control apparatus and method

A washing machine has a rotatable drum for holding items being washed and water for washing the items. The number of items in the drum and the amount of water in the drum may vary. Power is supplied from an inverter to a motor which rotates the rotatable drum. A speed control responsive to the inverter current regulates the drum rotating speed within a selected range.
