A fluid handling system suitable for injecting a pressurized fluid from a pump that is driven by a motor into an oilfield network includes a manifold fluidly connected to the pump and a controller. The manifold includes an inlet for receiving the fluid from the pump, a plurality of outlets downstream of and fluidly connected to the inlet, and a plurality of electric valves downstream of and fluidly connected, respectively, to the plurality of outlets, each of the plurality of electric valves being configured to selectively open and close to regulate a flow of the fluid from the plurality of outlets to a plurality of wells fluidly connected, respectively, to the plurality of electric valves. The controller is configured to receive a plurality of flow rate values of the plurality of wells, determine a plurality of duty cycles for the plurality of electric valves based on the plurality of flow rate values, and determine a schedule for the plurality of duty cycles so that only one of the plurality of electric valves is controlled open at a given time.

Multi-well chemical injection manifold and system

A mixing module includes two inlets, an integrator, and a valve member. The integrator has two chambers each having a near end and a far end, and the valve member is movable between two positions. One of the inlets is connected to the near end of one of the chambers and the other inlet is connected to the near end of the other chamber when the valve is in one position. When the valve is in the other position, one of the inlets is disconnected from the chambers and the near ends of the chambers are connected.

Two component mixing module

A method of actuating a double-action pump assembly with a reciprocating plunger includes signaling the reciprocating plunger to stop for a changeover period; while the pump is stopping, signaling the first inlet and outlet valves to close; while the first inlet and outlet valves are closing, signaling the second inlet and outlet valves to open, such that the second inlet and outlet valves begin to mechanically open at least a dwell period after the first inlet and outlet valves have entirely closed; and signaling the reciprocating plunger to begin moving while the second inlet and outlet valves are closing.

Pump changeover algorithm for spray system

A metering pump includes a motor having a motor shaft extending through a drive housing, a carriage assembly disposed around the motor shaft and within the drive housing, a plunger return block mounted to the carriage assembly, a piston disposed along an axis, a carriage bearing disposed on the motor shaft and within the carriage assembly and slidably coupled to the carriage assembly, a cam coupled to the motor shaft to rotate with the motor shaft, and a bearing disposed around the cam to rotate therewith and to contact the stroke adjuster and the plunger return block. The piston also includes a stroke adjuster mounted to the carriage assembly, a plunger having a button-shaped protrusion end, and a drive shaft having a first end connected to the stroke adjuster and a second end having a hook protrusion configured to receive and engage the plunger button-shaped protrusion end.

Two piece pump rod

A pneumatic timing valve includes a spool and seal system having a first seal cartridge and a spool. The first seal cartridge has an annular body with radial ports. The spool is positioned within the first seal cartridge and movable between a first and second position. The spool has a central bore and radial ports that intersect the central bore. The radial ports of the spool complement the radial ports of the seal cartridge. The seal cartridge radial ports, the spool radial ports, and the central bore of the spool define fluid flow passages.

Pneumatic timing valve

A metering pump includes a motor having a motor shaft extending through a drive housing, a carriage assembly disposed around the motor shaft and within the drive housing, a plunger return block mounted to the carriage assembly, a piston disposed along an axis, and a carriage bearing disposed on the motor shaft and within the carriage assembly, slidably coupled to the carriage assembly, and configured to provide a second contact point for maintaining the alignment of the carriage assembly with the axis of the piston. The piston further includes a stroke adjuster mounted to the carriage assembly to provide a first contact point for maintaining the alignment of the carriage assembly with the piston, a drive shaft connected to the stroke adjuster, and a plunger connected to the drive shaft. The metering pump also includes a cam coupled to the motor shaft to rotate with the motor shaft and a bearing disposed around the cam to rotate therewith and to contact the stroke adjuster and the plunger return block.

Pump transmission carriage assembly

A control method for a two-component spray system having first and second pumps for separate fluid components includes registering a target spray pressure, registering a material-specific pressure factor margin, sensing an output pressure of the second pump, and identifying a failure condition in the event that the sensed output pressure remains further than the pressure factor margin from the target spray pressure for at least a threshold time.

Spray system pressure differential monitoring

A rotational speed governor for an air motor comprises a housing, a valve, a shaft, a cross-bar, a plate and a pair of weights. The housing has an air inlet and an air outlet. The valve is disposed between the air inlet and the air outlet. The shaft extends along an axis within the housing. The cross-bar is connected to the shaft. The plate intersects the shaft between the valve and the crossbar. The weights are rotatably connected to the crossbar at pivot points. Each weight comprises an arcuately profiled edge extending beyond the crossbar to engage the plate. The arcuately profiled edges are shaped to increase a moment arm on the plate as the weights pivot away from the shaft.
